Manchester City have been given a boost ahead of the game against Watford this Saturday after a week of rest.
With no midweek game for the champions this week Pep Guardiola gave his players three days off as they prepare to clinch three more trophies before the end of the season.
City host Watford in the league on Saturday where they will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table and all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero has spoken of the benefits of having a week to prepare. “It’s been a really good week. We had been playing every three days for a long time so it’s always important to have a week with no midweek games to clear our minds and get ready and focused for the next game," Aguero said.

Manchester City face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final, looking to lift the first piece of silverware this season at Wembley.
Manchester City can make a huge statement by beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final, retaining the title they won 12 months ago.

Defused after seeing his Manchester City side pull off a remarkable comeback, Pep Guardiola claimed he is a "big fan" of VAR after a controversial first-half penalty was awarded against his side.
City produced a stunning 3-2 comeback at the Vetlins Arena, spurred by Leroy Sane's stunning free-kick. However, after Sergio Aguero had given them an early lead in the Champions League round of 16 tie, Schalke’s Daniel Caligiuri saw his goalbound shot blocked by Nicolas Otamendi’s arm.
The Argentinian was attempting to reel his body out of the ball’s flight path, but after the decision was referred to VAR, Schalke were given a penalty after three minutes’ deliberation by the referee.
Great performances from Foden and Sané. A great win today 💙🔵🔥🦈
