Mama Mia, How Can You Resist Her?! Meet This Gorgeous Gray Girl!

Gentle, low key, sweet as sugar MIA has the saddest eyes we’ve ever seen. Maybe it is because she has waited for the veterinary care she apparently never received. She has what appears to be a growth on her left front paw, and her nails are long and overgrown. . Don’t overlook this shyly sweet lady, . She is so lovable.
A volunteer writes:
So cute! So silver! Such a classic white front spot & pink ears! This gorgeous pup is @ BACC to shake your paw & earn those treats! Her former humans describe her as friendly and outgoing with strangers and friends; relaxed and playful with kids, and super affectionate with a fun, high level of energy. Mia is the kind of pup who wants to walk (or run!) by your side for a hundred years. Oh, & like all the best pups, she is house-trained! She will follow her favorite humans all around the house, & relishes a good game of fetch. She loves to hang out in the yard, preferring it to any crate for sure. Mia's ideal home would be one in which she is the only dog, with humans over the age of five.

TO BE KILLED 9/24/19
RESCUE ONLY
. *** Active Puppy Alert! *** SOHO loves jump up hugs, kisses, and fun. He’s an incredibly active 12 month old #puppy who has the biggest, sweetest heart, and has no idea that he needs what all #puppies need – some basic manners training so he doesn’t bowl everyone over in his enthusiasm to kiss them. He is so silly & goofy and loveable. He is so eager to please, it would take no time at all. Calming exercises like “down stay” & “place” would help him to remain calm in the face of distraction, &channel his wonderful energy in a positive way (and not spin around and try to chew his tail). These kids!!!! 😊 He’s absolutely stunning, with his gorgeous caramel coat, whit socks & that BIG happy smile. He currently is being treated for his skin issue, thus his “party hat.” NEEDS experienced foster or #adopter in an ADULT ONLY home (No children under age 13)

SOHO, ID #75764, 1 yr old, xx lbs, Unaltered Male
#Brooklyn ACC,
2336 Linden Boulevard #NYC
Medium Mixed Breed, Brown / White
Surrender Reason: Found Stray
Shelter Assessment Rating: NEW HOPE ONLY
No children (under 13)
Medical Behavior Rating: Blue

INTAKE PROFILE - BASIC INFO: unaltered found as a stray.

INTAKE NOTES – 09-14-2019: Soho was loose body & wagging his tail at first. However, he started to pull hard on leash but allowed being pet.

SHELTER ASSESSMENT SUMMARIES:

Leash Walking
Strength and pulling: No pulling
Reactivity to humans: None
Reactivity to dogs: None

Sociability
Loose in room (15-20 seconds): Neutral body, tail high, lip licking, displacement behavior (spinning, chasing tail, scratching, biting self), whining, approaches readily, overstimulated, jumps up onto handler, licks handler, leans into & accepts contact, aroused, panting heavily, readily accepts treats, softly, refocuses

AT RISK behavior concerns. Although Soho displays social behavior, he exhibits handling & touch sensitivity during his interactions, been observed to initially engage in play with staff & rapidly escalate to growling & snapping when uncomfortable.
diagnosed pyoderma but otherwise healthy

 RESCUE ONLY
Is there nothing more destructive than the NYC Housing Ban? Tears people apart people from their pets if their #pets are over a ridiculously small size (25 lbs.). This is what happened to SIX when his family moved to housing that would not allow him to join them. Now this sweet, waggy, playful youngster is sitting at the shelter. He’s a wonderful boy. Outgoing, waggy, curious and playful, who lived with many children & loves other dogs. For one so young he has a mastery of many commands, & the only one left to learn is “drop it / leave it” because when he has a precious toy he is loathe to give it up. All SIX NEEDS now is an EXPERIENCED foster or adopter who can give him a soft place to land Due to his toy issue, he would be best with a family who don’t have kids under the age of 13.
SIX, ID #75835, 2 yrs old, 81 lbs, Unaltered Male
#Brooklyn ACC,
2336 Linden Boulevard #NYC German Shepherd, Black / Brown
Owner Surrender Reason: surrendered due to lease regulations (NYCHA)
Shelter Assessment Rating: LEVEL 3
No children (under 13)
Medical Behavior Rating:
OWNER SURRENDER NOTES - BASIC INFO:
Unaltered.. bought from a breeder. There are no known injuries or health issues. Six previously lived with 2 adults and 3 children. Around strangers, Six is outgoing. However, he will attempt to bite if you approach him as if you are scared of him. Around children, he is relaxed & playful. Around other dogs, except small ones, he is relaxed & playful. NOT been around cats. Six is not bothered when his food, treats, or toys are touched or taken away. Six has no bite history. housetrained.
AT RISK due to behavior concerns. When approached while in his kennel, Six immediately lunges, hard barks & charges his kennel. His kennel reactivity sets off neighboring dogs, including calmer social ones. Outside his kennel, he is nervous but allows handling and can be social with familiar handlers. Six has been diagnosed as a cryptorchid that will need follow up care.

RESCUE ONLY
Do you know who cannot stop spreading the love? All 25 lbs of sweet Wilson! This most adorable black and white cookie is just about the most loving four legged buddy to be found. He literally cannot stop seeking affection from everyone and expressing his heart. His adorable, and quite perfect face is so easy to cherish. It's hard to believe anyone could say something otherwise about him seeing his fun loving nature; though we know what goes on behind closed doors, stays there, especially since our pets cannot speak up. At the shelter Wilson presents as a, happy-go-lucky, upbeat, excited and affectionate young doggie. We are so hoping someone will notice him before its too late.
His video simply speaks volumes! Please message our page if you can save this adorable and deserving boy.
