Touring behind Hysteria, Def Leppard played arenas in the round: in which maximized the number of seats, and that made it difficult to get onto the stage when it was showtime. So the crew, using the giant laundry baskets that they had loaded the opening band’s equipment into when removing it from the stage, would hide the members of Def Leppard in the baskets and wheeled them through the unknowing crowd.
One night in Chicago, Robert Plant visited backstage which was a thrill for DF by itself, but when “he heard about the way we got wheeled out there every night, he got all excited and asked if he could part of the clandestine operation that took place before the show.” Plant, being one of the recognizable rock stars in the world, disguised himself with dark sunglasses, a bandana wrapped around his head, and a leather jacket. “I remember he looked a bit like a pirate,” Phil Collen wrote.
I vote to bring back scrunchies and baggy, of the shoulder shirts combos like we’re popular in the 80s. It’s a cute combination and I quite like baggy, off the shoulder shirts; and scrunchies don’t rip my hair out like most hair elastics do. Besides, they come in an insane amount of colors to go with just about anything. I feel like @strangerthingstv has made a certain amount of 80s fashion kinda popular again in the best way possible. Who doesn’t love bright neon colours and crazy, geometric patterns? #80saesthetic#80sfashion#scrunchiesareback#makefunofmeallyouwant#iquitelikeit
