2019 Anchor Down Ultramarathon
Last night was one of the craziest, most challenging, and most fun times of my entire life! Just about 20 miles of running in the dark with friends was so unbelievably awesome and I can't wait to do it again next year! I love my crazy running family 💙💛
Anchor down, run long ⚓
It's hard to believe it's been 🔟 years to the day since I started at @vanderbiltu. Grateful and honored for all of the opportunities, experiences, and relationships through @vucommodores! #anchordown

"His maturity on the mound and his ability to command numerous pitches allowed him to have success inside of our conference." @masonhickman_ permitted four-or-fewer hits in his final six starts and in nine of his final 10 starts.

Today’s top fan is brought to you by Nicki Dadino’s dog Gemma. 🐕
She’s such a big Vandy lacrosse fan, they named a defensive play after her.
She’s a three-year old golden doodle but she’s completely black. She also loves to swim and water the plants.#anchordown
I don’t usually get the opportunity to sit outside in silence before the sun rises. It was a long day yesterday. Filled with squabbles, singing to music, listening to audio books, lunches that consisted of cereal bars and chips (until we found a proper place to stop) an arrival shortly before sunset, dinner in the dark staring at a beautiful moon, a 10pm trip to the store for a forgotten toothbrush, ending in showers at 11pm... but here we are, here I AM. Reminded of the simple beauty that comes with taking the time to look at it. It reminds me that life isn’t all about computer screens and WiFi connections, fancy hotels or gourmet meals... it’s about connecting with each other and being present in the space you are in, being ok with it when things go wrong or the day is long. There is always a new day and a new opportunity to wake before the sun rises and be grateful for all you have. .
The Greek Inclusivity Alliance (GIA) at Vanderbilt Univeristy started two years ago as an office effort to create a cohort based program to engage some of our fraternity and sorority members in the topic areas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and equip them with the necessary tools to be change agents with the larger Greek community. The GIA members are comprised of Greek affiliated students who are working to build a more culturally competent Greek community. They participate in a curriculum developed to cover a variety of topics that educates and equips them with foundation knowledge and competencies.
For the past two days, I have had the pleasure to work alongside some phenomenal Co-Chairs in the facilitation of a 2-Day Training for 2019-2020 GIA New Members. In just two days we covered things like community building, understanding the history of the Civil Rights movement as it relates to the city of Nashville, inclusion and awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community, overall inclusion , visible and non visible aspects of someone identity, and navigating difficult conversations, all framed in the context of Fraternity and Sorority Life!
This is a phenomenal group of students and I’m excited to see what they will do this year! It gives me hope that we can continue to move the pendulum of progression forward for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion! #anchordown
I had a great time last weekend at the Vanderbilt summer send off party in Charleston, SC! I’m so glad to be a part of such an amazing community! Congrats to the incoming class of 2023! Tomorrow is move in day and you will join our Vanderbilt community. Get ready! #vanderbilt#vanderbiltalumni#psychotherapyforthelc
