This year has been a reminder of all of the things that I have needed to let go of to make room for the things I desire; to make room for them to come into my life. I didn’t realize it but a lot of the trauma and pain I’ve felt over the last few years has been something that I have wanted to hold onto with a firm grip as a defense mechanism rather than releasing myself to heal from all of it. I think as complex as we are as humans I definitely have been known to prefer my walls to be up in order to feel safe around others. This year has helped me stay super focused on how much I truly desire change in my life. So with that I’ve been thinking a lot about comfort zones and really pushing them away so that the things I know are meant for my life can finally start to take root. For this next year my focus is to let go of all of the things that aren’t for me, being ok with saying no, and to let go of the limiting beliefs holding me back. ✨
I always loved art. It was something I was pretty good at. But watercolor was daunting and I didn’t allow myself to really try it properly until about four years ago.
I want to take away the fear of trying a new art form, because anything is possible.
