  • I pushed myself or else who would?
In my school I was known amongst my colleague’s n students fr being a voracious reader. If Ruby ma’am was not taking a class, she most certainly must be in library reading bks.In a year I would read around 8 to 10 bks then. But strangely enough since I left my job,in past 1 ½ years I've just read some 4-5 ks.Not that I’ve turned a couch potato. But I am either making some content fr my #youtube channel or am writing fr #instagram posts.Apart from all house-keeping more so indulgently now.Frankly it’s been a #slowlife!
But all this while had a silent guilt n wanted to get out of this zone soon.
Devised an idea- to commit here in front of you all! #ItWorked !
Last Sunday I posted a pic with my latest read #CloseToTheBone n a promise that I’ll read it in a week.Yesterday was 10th day,in between on Sat n Sun I got super busy.Technically I finished the bk in 8 days. Not bad at all. What  say? N am going to use this ploy in future too.
Reading nourishes my soul,grey cells,confidence
This bk is an autobiography of #LisaRaniRay,Born on 4th April 1972 - half Bong(half Polish). So far I knew her just as a pretty face frm famous ‘Garden Vareli’ Ads n a few ravishin magazine covers.Reading this riveting bk was a revelation- Indeed she is a beauty with brains!
Inspiring story of a rich n famous vagabond girl perpetually running away frm situations n reality! When suddenly faced with a rare fatal form of cancer i.e, Multiple Myeloma at the age of 36 that her true character reveals. She comes out open with her condition/battle in her blog-The Yellow Diaries.N takes the battle head on.
She has been brutally honest about hr continuous fight with anorexia(n bulimia) n it’s manifestations while she was a top model n later an actress who also happened to’ve bagged  coveted auditioning opportunity to be a Bond Girl opposite Daniel Craig!Has also acknowledged all hr relationships with a see-through honesty in this bk.Finally,am floored by hr intelligent, lucid writing skills doing full justice to the social commentary of the times and places.

  • It's been a while since I've posted on here, well it feels like it anyway.

I've been so deep into creating my next series of 9 books, The Sacral Series, which kicks off with Moana, it seems everything took a back seat.
But then I realised only a few days had passed and I giggled to myself. What with two rounds of the 7 Week Author Course almost completed, new content created, and a new book, not to mention numerous podcasts, interviews; various articles written for @onetribemagazine - not to mention becoming cover girl for issue 22! I'm finding I'm having to pinch myself.

Is this all just a dream? Or have I really stepped into the dream I've had for so long it is now my reality?

And the really exciting part is preparing for my trip to Chile in just 7 weeks.
Spending 2 months at sea, journalling, writing books and studying, not to mention star gazing and dolphin spotting, taking the helm of this beauty, as well as climbing her rigging and setting the sails, I'm ready to step back and meditate on the next stage of my life.
I would say calling it all in, but if we are in a constant state of calling it in, are we ever in a state of receiving it all?
Knowing I'll be in the middle of the Atlantic for my birthday excites me, in a calm and peaceful way.

Knowing I'll be meeting my boys in Chile excites me too, and being able to share with them my journey around the world brings me so much joy, as it does them.

There's so much to be grateful for, and I'm feeling so incredibly blessed right now, and I owe a lot of it to my beautiful soul sister @erialskye for the hard work and magic she has put into my business.
Without her talents & support so much of what I'm creating wouldn't be able to reach as many people. She really truly is a gift from the Universe.
Sending so much love and gratitude to you all for being in my space, and sharing this journey called life with me.
Let me know in the comments what you are grateful for today, and those special people that are helping to make you dreams come true 😊✨💖✨ Until the next time beautiful souls, until the next time 🥰

  • Book: Life in the Sunshine by T.Sathish @sathishpgw

Are you a sports fanatic, crazy about cricket? I suppose the answer to this would be affirmative for most of the people in India. Growing up, I too caught up the cricket craze. I remember this started roughly around the time M.S Dhoni started playing for India. Anyhow, this book is the autobiography of an unknown cricketer.

To name the characters, here’s the triple sundae gang of Sat, Trib and Sam, who start playing the famous gully cricket ( is that even a term lol? ) at a very young age. Initially, none of them even had the proper kits that were needed to play the game, so they asked their colony members for donations. Smart right?

As the 3 of them start to grow up, reality hits them hard.
While Sam joined a cricket academy to hone his skills, Sat faced a hard time convincing his parents. Eventually they agreed. Initially, everyone who plays cricket dream of making it to the Indian team. However, very few are successful. I mean, what are the odds? Sat couldn’t play as well as he had imagined, failed many district level trials and eventually settled for an engineering college.

The book is quite humorous. While the trio watches the India-Pak matches, they’re joined by a slimy ghost Abdul, and their conversations are hilarious. 😂

In college, Sat gets a chance to lead a team for a local tournament and this is definitely the highlight of career. He wants to make the most of it. Throughout his journey, he has learnt many valuable lessons in life through cricket, the most important one being, never lose hope even though you’re struggling in any aspect. There’s always a way out, and it all depends on your confidence.

To be honest, some of the sections in the book are described in a way which will make you forget everything else and focus on finishing the part. So thrilling!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book ☺

My rating: 4.3/5

  • There's always one photo you love that captures that moment of joy, the sunset and the ocean... ... And a bloody fishing rod! 😄

Now I could have edited it out, if I knew how, and could be bothered to figure it out, but isn't it just reality?

Being in the moment,
A beautiful photo,
Joy on faces,
And a how many of us are fed up with everything always so polished and edited, filtered and perfect... Whatever perfect is?

We are all perfectly imperfect as my friend @wren_stephani wore across her T-shirt the other day.

One of the elements I go through with my author clients is being comfortable in their own skin, owning all of who they are,
without the need to filter themselves,
Or hide parts of themselves which makes other people uncomfortable.
We worry so much about the imperfections, we forget just how beautiful we are, how courageous we are, how inspirational we are to others, others who may not even be on our radar, but we are most certainly on theirs.
Not showing up for fear of failing, looking foolish, or even the fear of succeeding and losing friends or family, will only dim your beauty, will only make your weaker, a shadow of your former self.

So show up.
As you.
However you want to,
Because those who critique you are only critiquing themselves, because when we are happy with ourselves we have no need to be critical of others.
So enjoy who you are,
Live life on your own terms,
Share who you are so you can surround yourself with people who love, admire and respect you for who you are, wanting you to succeed in whatever you heart and soul feels called to do.

And for all those wishing to take part in my transformational signature programme, the 7 Week Author Course, which enables you to accelerate your career regardless of whether you are an entrepreneur or not, then click on the link in the bio, or message me for me details.
Applications close today!
And remember, always live to laugh and laugh to live because life is always more abundant that way!
Ciao for now! 😃🧜🌊💙💎✨💫✨ There's always one photo you love that captures that moment of joy, the sunset and the ocean... ... • Put it in your diaries!!! Saturday 3rd August is the return of #biografairyday, the day we encourage book fairies around the WORLD to share biographies, autobiographies and memoirs! We are going to be celebrating the lives of a wide variety of people, and we will be learning along the way too.

If you have some biographies in your collection and you’re happy to book-fairy them in your area, then this is the perfect way to mark this special day! If you’re able to get hold of one or two from charity shops, then that’s great too! Just pop a book fairy sticker on and get hiding. If you have some in your collection that you’re not ready to part with, then simply use #shareyourfirstpage to tell everyone about the book and the people it focuses on!

This day is very special to book fairies. In 2017 it was the first one of its kind. The first worldwide “book fairy event” where we chose a theme and asked fairies around the world to celebrate with us. The response we’ve had the last couple of years has been phenomenal! You can see just by checking out the hashtag. Let’s make 2019 the best Biografairy Day yet!

Use #biografairyday to share your preparations for Saturday 3rd August with other fairies!
