So that's it the first ever competition is over and what a day. Despite the nerves I loved every minute.
I got 7/9 lifts all of which a new personal bests for me at this current weight
60kg - had to dig deep to get this after failing it second attempt!
140kg (failed) nothing left in the tank today to get this any further than shin height 😑
Sep 2-13 training. Kinda boring rn so I just pushed the two weeks together.

My body is SHOT rn. Taking my first deload week in half a year and coming back to peak for three weeks with 700 on the horizon. Might try for a bench PR too not sure, squat PR should happen during the peak but I’m not gonna max squat for a while, it’ll be the focus next program.
Also big ups to Brandon Curry and thank you once again Shawn Rhoden for taking us out of the Phil Heath Era.

Bench I've added the video of my first attempt at the set, only a grindy 2 .....tried again and got the 3 but felt all out of synch.
With the energy from the 4th haribo totally gone by now, cocked up 3rd rep on deads and failed it but stepped back took a moment and made sure I got it, split the video as it was long but all happened in one go.
The team has been posting about their days yesterday and they all did well. Proud of every single one of them, and thankful they allow me to help them in their journey with strength training.
A lot of people tagged me or the team name but someone I need to thank is my fiancé @cadams102 . She took off work to travel with us just to help and support where ever she was needed. From engaging with the lifters on Friday and Saturday (I’m stubborn and having her POV helps so much), paying attention to the flights to let the lifters know where they should be during warm ups and videoing I think every single lift for everyone. She consistently checked in to make sure I was drinking enough or needed anything.
The lifters make the team, and I guide them to best of my abilities but she is everything I need at the exact moment I need.

A great weekend at the European championships. Not my best performance but I still came away a junior European champion in the squat, bench and deadlift.
I increased my squat world record to 106kg, attempted to break the European bench record at 63kg which did go up but was a fail lift, but I increased my British bench record to 60kg and my 115kg deadlift didn’t want to come off the ground today.

Shut up and lift
The iron doesn't care about how your day was. It does not care about your problems on the T. It doesnt care if you are sick or tired or hungry. It doesnt care if your rich and successful or wearing the latest trending fashion on instagram. The iron simply is. .
For me, lifting is outlet. A way to turn my head off and give it all I have. It's a chance to reflect on myself. Am I really putting all my effort into today's training or am I just going through the motions? .
The moment I wrap my hands around the bar and feel the pressure of the kneeling against my callouses is a moment of fleeting thoughts. Nothing else matters. And for that brief moment, the body becomes primal. It's only action is to get stronger. I will give it no other option.
The iron is my connection to overcome doubt. It's my way of disregarding any negativity I encounter. It's my relief. But it is also humbling. It is that fine line between knowing I've had enough and still asking for more.
I want more. Do you?
245 x 6 and an extra rep for a grind. This was after 220 x 10 and 235 x 8. I am mentally and physically exhausted 😅...but I want to win! PUSH THROUGH CHAMP! (Me trying to stay positive 😂)
In all seriousness my lower body feels like it needs a good de load while my upper body feels just fine. I’m sure it’s just the caloric deficit which means it’s gonna take a little longer for my lower body to recover. Going forward I’m going to skip the volume but increase the intensity!
