Broccoli Beef & Brown Rice⁣
⁣
You’ll need:⁣

• 1 lb lean steak; thinly sliced⁣
• 1 tbsp olive oil⁣
• 3 cloves garlic – chopped⁣
• 4 onions – diced⁣
• 1 finely chopped shallot⁣
• 4 cups broccoli florets⁣
• ¾ cup of water⁣
• 2 tbsp coconut sugar⁣
• 1 tsp ground ginger⁣
• 1 ¼ cups brown rice⁣
• 3 cups of low sodium chicken broth⁣
• A pinch of salt; if desired⁣
⁣
Heat the olive oil in a skillet. Once warm, add the thinly sliced steak and brown it. This should take approximately 6 minutes.⁣

Remove the steak and put the garlic, onion, and shallot into the skillet; they only need to be cooked for a minute. Then add the broccoli and cook for no more than 5 minutes. You want it bright green and almost tender.⁣

Separately, mix the soy sauce, ginger, water, and coconut sugar. Make sure the sauce is smooth, then add it to your pan. After a few minutes, it should start to thicken. Then add the steak and cook for another couple of minutes.⁣
