  • Poblacion (we fondly refer to it as the back porch of Makati) has claimed a foothold in this new wave of culinary enclaves that give glory to our local cuisine - @esqinitaph , is one of them. What started out as a pet project of Chef Robert Pengson, has blossomed into a creative space for his head Chef, Mark Jesraelle Sanchez (formerly from Hey Handsome!). ___
To start your gastro-journey, try their Spiced Sausage Spring Roll. The accompanying sauce (like in most of their dishes) is deadly good 💯

We highly recommend that you also order their Kare Kare Hainan Chicken - rarely would you see local versions of this Singaporean street staple with the juices locked in. Kudos on the approach. I would take this with a warm cup of rice.

Since everything is made from scratch from their kitchen, their Laksa reeks authentic, but is given a familiar twist with squid ink pasta. Umami bombs, yo!

They also offer a 7 course tasting menu that wont set you back that far. If I remember correctly, it falls in the range of 1,200 to 1,400php per head. Not bad, pare! 🤙

To finish things off, order the tequila mixed with guyabano. Man! That was one refreshingly awesome drink! We had to order a second round 🍸
