  • Happy Monday everyone 🥰⠀
⠀
Well it's happy for me because I've got the day off work🙈 (sorry not sorry)! But if you're in work today and feeling like you need a pick me up already then I feel it's my duty to remind you that the new Vietnamese restaurant @phorestaurant "Pho" opened on Church Street last Friday and is still running it's incredible launch offer - 50% off your food bill today and tomorrow, what a fab offer! So definitely worth checking out if you can spare the time on your lunch break or if you can head there after work!⠀
⠀
You may have seen a lot of posts about Pho already (and quite a few pretty decent puns in their captions 👌) as a few of us were lucky enough to be invited to their soft launch last week and I've got to be honest I thought the whole experience was Pho-nomenal! ⠀
⠀
We loved the newly renovated restaurant, the helpful, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable staff and most importantly the food! I've never had Vietnamese food before but it's safe to say I am a convert, everything was so tasty, fresh and full of flavour. ⠀
⠀
We shared a couple of starters between us (separate post to come) before getting to try the main event, their famous Pho (pronounced "Fhu". A beautifully tasty bowl of broth (Pho simmer theirs for at least 12 hours for that incredible taste) packed full of rice noodles, fresh veggies and your choice of a selection of lean meats/seafood.⠀
⠀
I went for the Pho Dac Biet - king prawns, chicken and flash fried steak with garlic in a beef broth. This comes served with a side of fresh herbs, which along with a selection of condiments such as chilli paste, fish sauce and rice vinegar which you can experiment with adding to change the flavours of the Pho, so not only is the food tasty but it's fun too! Having never tried this before I was thoroughly impressed by the flavours, textures and freshness of all the ingredients!⠀
⠀
My other half went for the Ca-ri instead - a beautiful mild coconut flavoured curry packed full of veggies and chicken served with a side of rice, which he absolutely loved. We both have such a lovely time and can't wait to go back again! Happy Monday everyone 🥰⠀ ⠀ Well it's happy for me because I've got the day off work🙈 (sorry not sorry)!
