Day11: After coming back from our hike in the Cocora valley on Saturday evening we took a closer look at other hikes in the region and discovered that there are a bunch of beautiful multi-day hikes in los Nevados National Parc. We were lucky and found an agency that was still open and spontaneous as we are we just booked a three day hike to the Paramillo de Quindio starting on this very monday.
After meeting with our guide Juan in the morning and taking the Jeep to Cocora, we started climbing up to la Finca Argentina at 3400m. On our way we saw lots of orchids and had to cross various rivers on rather sketchy suspensionbridges. Reaching the finca we were welcomed with a hot agua panela, a typical drink made from water and sugarcane.
The finca itself was very simple and quite cold, more like a shanty. But the kitchen had a fireplace for cooking and benches around it where it was nice and warm. The food was basically carbs with carbs, so potatoesoup with pasta and rice with beans, but that was amazing.
Also we got the opportunity to use our sporks for the first time. 😁
February 26, 2015. Olive Branch, Mississippi. At home, in a snowy early hour of 1:03 AM. A paranormal investigator with Cryptic Shadows, saw lights of a huge triangular flying object through the house window. Angela Ashton ran outside to video record it. There were no sound from the flying object and it was hovering over a nearby field area. The object was huge as a football field. Ashton said that the huge object appeared to release smaller objects but it was kind of hard for her to tell. The huge UFO disappeared when it shot up into the sky.
