Ryan Reynolds chose not to become close with the child actors in The Amityville Horror (2005). He was not mean or rude to them, just distant. He didn’t want to fall in love with them. He did this so that when his character (George Lutz) started changing, he would have no trouble easing into the verbal and physical abuse.
Y’all, our family has an ongoing prank.
It involves this incredibly creepy plastic egg that Bachelorette Number 2 (Nora) decorated at our local Play and Learn group.
Anywho at some point, we started putting the little creeper in each other’s stuff. He shows up in our boots, in our pockets, and in places I can only talk about in the company of ladies.
And it’s funny. Every. Single. Time. And brings us a monkeys buttload of joy.
For those of you non-science majors, “monkeys buttload” is a unit of measurement that is part of the metric system. It roughly translates “a beaucoup of poo”.
Does your family have any harmless prank traditions? I’d love to hear them.
So that I can laugh oodles of noodles about them later.
