One of the better articles about raising kids on plant based diets. •
What’s interesting is the assertion that plant based diets need to be well-planned. This is true of all diets - and yet we see it repeatedly mentioned when it comes to plant based eating. •
It implies that plant based diets require supervision or monitoring by a professional, to be healthy. This may scare many families away, if they don’t have the time or resources to think about their child’s nutrition. •
If you look at the Australian dietary guidelines for kids, the recommendation is for “well-planned diets” for ALL children, not just vegans. •
The guidelines also specifically recommend limiting saturated fat, processed meat, cream, and butter. •
Kinda weird how it’s the plant based diet getting scrutinized. •
Processed meat is a known carcinogen. When so many kids’ diets include bacon, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, party pies, sausage rolls, and deli meat... perhaps that’s where the public outrage should REALLY be focused.
Auri has watched us use credit cards often enough that I didn't have to teach her how to play with this and she just knew. 😂 She even used paypass the other night when Chris was holding her and was about to pay for dinner. She just reached down and grabbed his card and tapped. #aurimelodydabo
This little guy has been sick the past couple days... When I captured this picture of him smiling I realized he had quite the flow coming from his nose.
I immediately thought, this would have been a great picture of him smiling if it wasn’t for that. •
Then I was reminded that we often try and post the “perfect” pictures on social media. We retake them over and over again because we want that “right” shot...
Well, ya know something? This is real life. We had planned on going over to one of our close friends house to watch the game but decided not to go for Kaden’s and their little boy’s sake.
Instead, we enjoyed the game as a family and this picture reminds me that you don’t need your hairs in exact order (mainly because I have no hair) to let others know what’s going on in your life.
We share our life to let you know... We understand. We get it... •
There’s no pretending with the Catron family.
Be real, be vulnerable, it’s NOT complaining, it’s simply sharing you.
Yes, I wiped and suctioned his nose after I saw this 😁
Atop the ferris-wheel, the small metal carriage that carried father and daughter rocked gently back and forth in the cool, crisp evening breeze.
Moments before down below the concern and fear that creased the child's brow, was now replaced by excited chatter as the young toddler pointed joyfully at the various things she could see from her perch.
The descending sun set the horizon on fire stealing just enough light to make the amusement parks lights sparkle and dance. A magical moment frozen in time. 🎡 #twilight#sunset#magical#ferriswheel#qualitytime#father#daughter#daddydaughtertime#dad#dadlife#babygirl
