The change and achievement most people see is physical. I didn’t want to show the picture on the left because in was so embarrassed of what I let myself get to, not just weight but mentally. The achievement I see is I am proud of myself. Still further to go in all areas but if I can motivate someone else then I’m happy ❤️
Didn’t get to yoga tonight due to a sick kid (he’s fine now). So when Ben got home I took a 3-mile walk to the library (round trip). I’ve learned to fit in exercise whenever I can because it makes me feel healthy. Fresh air, a warm breeze and hitting 10,000 steps was a good end to a good day. It’s the little things sometimes. #exercise#mentallyhealthy#walk#sunset#latergram#happymonday

Nobody looks cute while exercising so don’t worry if you don’t either 🤣
As we move into the fall and winter months, it’s an important time to take an honest look at our wellbeing and dedicate some time to keeping ourselves in good spirits. Here are three tips for supporting your mood:
1. Exercise to boost your mood
An overwhelming majority of the many studies looking at the effects of exercise on depression have found that it helps reduce symptoms.
2. Socialize to prevent loneliness
It’s not uncommon for people struggling with depression to isolate themselves. Try to maintain connections with other people, even if you sometimes have to force yourself.
3. Practice mindfulness to gain perspective
Science suggests mindfulness meditation can have a positive impact on depression and other mental health issues.
Did you know that social isolation and a lack of purpose can be as dangerous to your health as smoking cigarettes and being overweight? Take my two-minute quiz ( #linkinbio ) to discover if these are areas that are helping or hindering your health.

Getting back into the swing of things isn’t easy. Whether it’s constant traveling or being sick, the first week back into exercising is always the roughest.
This past week I finished my first official week of the #wendler531 program. Boy! Did I feel it.
Don’t worry about getting back into the swing of things. Yeah, you might have to scale back some, but use that time to solidify the basics and get stronger.
