  • Congratulations to my incredibly hardworking badass husband & his classmates on graduating their 4-year #Ironworker #Apprenticeship program as official #journeymen Ironworkers of Southern California #Union #Local433.

Erich was voted as top apprentice of his graduating cohort by his peers whom he considers brothers in the trade, is already running jobs as a #foreman before graduating, & already groomed to become a permanent anchor in his company. He is so humble, but I couldn’t be more proud of this man & his steadfast dedication, fierce determination, hard work ethics, precise talents, & leadership character, challenging both himself and others to always give it their all when they work, especially needed in this highly skilled and dangerous line of work. As an #IronworkerWife, I can say, you are all badasses & greatly admirable for your bravery and blue collar pride. No one who cries when they sweat or work hard can last in this trade. It truly weeds out only those with grit, stamina, & a strong mental & physical gift.

Here are some photos recapping Erich’s journey: 1st photo is today with his graduating apprenticeship class. 2nd photo was 4 years ago, when we first dated, we had a coffee date to write his letter to the Ironworker Board for acceptance into Local433 Union program (that I typed up! 💁🏻‍♀️) 3rd photo was him doing his last week of homework this past week despite moving, renovating, & our recent loss of our son (he has been a pillar of strength). Photos 4-8 are beautiful captures of Erich, the badass daredevil at work. 9th photo was when we had money to buy him brand new work clothes which he burns holes in from welding too quickly to replace! Last photo was him dirty & tired from work but sent me a selfie, looking all rugged and handsome, full of that #bluecollar pride.💙

I always knew I wanted a rugged blue collar boy—this dude made those dreams come true & continue to amaze me everyday. You deserve to be celebrated everyday, but especially today for all you have accomplished. I’m one proud blue-collar wifey & a blessed bitch, because every sweat & tear you pour out, is for our future family. Thank you for everything you do, Zion’s daddy.⚒ Congratulations to my incredibly hardworking badass husband & his classmates on graduating their 4-year #ironworker #apprenticeship program as official #journeymen Ironworkers of Southern California #union #local433. • Erich was voted as top apprentice of his graduating cohort by his peers whom he considers brothers in the trade, is already running jobs as a #foreman before graduating, & already groomed to become a permanent anchor in his company.
