Don’t mess with a girl and her dreams.
I was in the prime of my life. Young, strong, and determined to live more sustainably. I was in the throes of a passionate farm career. I made a living off the land and it sure felt good.
But After 6 years everything changed for me. I got pregnant and was ecstatic! My fiancé & I were to be married the next Summer but were eager to start a family.
One night I started cramping. Then the bleeding started. The pain was just... I fainted on the cold bathroom floor. I lost that baby. I was devastated with grief.
In that moment, I decided to walk away from farming to try once again at starting a family. Plus, hubby wasn’t a farmer and couldn’t fill in. Two, we didn’t own the farm and the layout wasn’t good for expansion. So hiring more help felt like a moot point.
Grieving the loss of my farm business became far worse than even the loss of my child. Thankfully we successfully started a family. But every Spring I looked out at the overgrown fields with distain and hurt pride. And a longing... I lived on that 22 acre hillside farm for 8 years. The day we moved out, I stood on the field edge and sobbed. It had been 4 years since the miscarriage and last my Farm season. It still had a hold on me.
I couldn’t see a way to nurture that passion.. until now. I’m so happy to say, I’M BACK bitches. Yes, I have a 4 month old and a 3 year old. So here is how I can offer my expertise & LOVE for agriculture with YOU.
I’m launching a series of online training courses to help YOU successfully grow your own food, and for a profit - if that’s your thing!
The first one begins THIS month!
If YOU want to learn WHAT to plant, WHEN to plant, and HOW MUCH to plant, this course is for you!
We will create a customized seeding/planting/harvesting map and calendar to meet your needs. This will be based on the average Spring & Fall frost dates for your area & what grows in your region.
I will help you with site selection and design to maximize your space, plan for proper crop rotation, and allow for continued harvest throughout the season.

Here's why you need to add Whole Foods to your lifestyle: 🌟🌟Whole Foods are rich in fiber- Fiber provides many health benefits. These include helping you feel more satisfied with fewer calories, as well as improving digestive function and metabolic health 🌟🌟Eating a diet high in fibrous plants and unprocessed animal foods may help reduce blood sugar levels in people with diabetes and people who are at risk of developing the disease. 🌟🌟Studies suggest that eating more vegetables, fish, beans and olive oil may help reduce wrinkling, loss of elasticity and other age-related skin changes. Yes, helps with acne too!! 🌟🌟Coconut oil, avocados, nuts, seeds contains medium-chain triglycerides, which have been shown to increase fat burning and assist with weight loss. Long-chain omega-3 fatty acids help fight inflammation and protect heart health. 🌟🌟Several large observational studies link a balanced diet with a high intake of fruits and vegetables to a decreased risk of cancer and heart disease

This is not much to most people but this sweet corn and I had an adventurous grow season this summer ending with me only harvesting this one ear of corn. 🌽🌽🌽
However, I did make it a #positivemonday and cooked this beauty up, and it was delicious! So I planted some more for my indoor winter garden🌱🌱🌱
We found a place that literally grows their food in a garden right next to their restaurant. They locally source their meats and cheeses from other farmers in WI as well. We need more places like this!

oven roasted okra! I bought the okra at Amarillo Community Market. Cut the tops and tips off, then added olive oil and seasonings. Roast in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes. I added the tops and ends to my vegetable scrap bag, ready for the next time I make chicken stock. #amarillocommunitymarket#freshgrown#handpicked#okra
