In the famous Mitte district, north of Berlin, the burners found out an old bunker🗿. This imposing concrete cube, wich stand on five floors, is a remnant of the nazi period ☠️, built in 1942.
The colossus will know several lives, in turn shelter during the bombings of the Second World War 💣, prison during the Soviet occupation ⛓, hangar with exotic fruits 🍌under the communist regime ⚒, techno club 💊 renowned for its crazy music 😈, the bunker closes its doors in the mid-90s.
After 4 years of work 🚧, the bunker open again under a new name : the Sammlung Boros (@boroscollection), a new gallery for contemporary art 🤖
Unfortunately, the burners could not visit it 🤷🏽♀️ because it was necessary to book 2 months in advance (well, it’s not a joke ^^) ... but they manage to go inside for a few minutes just to see the main exhibition room.
Conclusion : they will definitely come back in Berlin to visit this original piece of art !
Failing to visit the interior, the burners went around to discover several works of street art 👾

I might be totally exhausted, but my heart is happy. All because of a silly bowl of soup. See, my Dad makes this soup, passed down from his mom. We call it "button soup." Button soup, isn't vegetarian. Our exchange student daughter, Suna, is. So, I changed the recipe. We love it. In fact, I made a huge pot Friday and another on Saturday.
When I see this bowl of soup, I see the relationship we've built and the bond we have with Suna. I see the ways she's shaped and changed our lives, forever. I think of the batches upon batches of this soup we'll make through our lifetime, and the girl we love so dearly. "Hosting exchange students isn't about the big stuff; it's about the bowls of soup." #bringtheworldhome#shareyouramerica#makememories#educationfirst#spain#extendedfamily#italy#taiwan#southkorea#southernindiana#kentuckiana#germany#bowlsofsoup#vegetarian
