Our “mini” sluice next to the standard sluice box for comparison. These mini sluices are 12 inches long and 3.5 inches wide. They work great for sample sluicing, running your final materials at home, and gifts for friends and family. If you have more clever ideas about using a tiny, ultra lightweight sluice, share in the comments!
A little golden nugget from our podcast interview with @ashley_parker_angel 💛💛💛 As creatives, we just need to have grace to let ourselves start somewhere—without the judgment. Just create. Create even if it feels like imitation. Create until you’ve whittled your way down to gold.
Make sure to clean out the crevices in your sluice! Each sluice box allows for expandability with these grooves found on each end and both sides of the box. Attach a flare to the top to funnel water and materials, or more sluices for more chances to catch gold. Your flare attachment is intentionally designed to quickly and easily clip in. This allows fine dirt not to become clogged in the crevices. We don’t want the flare to become a permanent fixture on your box! This also means that you will want to make sure to clean out any materials that are in the grooves before you finish pan. Follow the link in our bio to contact us with any questions you might have.
