Preparing healthy meals efficiently calls for sharp tools. Spent the afternoon getting our dull knives 🔪🔪 back to pristine condition.
Learning to sharpen your chef's knife is a great way to prolong its life (less buying & throwing🗑️), keep your kitchen safe, and it's actually a pretty therapeutic experience.
Knife sharpening aficionados please excuse 🤭 our ghetto setup.
What do you do when your knives get dull? Throw them away and get new ones? Send them to a knife sharpener? 🤔 Really curious to know.
Today, has been wonderful. I've had other symptoms but relatively pain free, normal... I felt normal.
I still have this internal vibration that never seems to want to go away and the odd tingling, prickling & numb sensations I get.
I've managed to do so much, I am fearful however that a flare might happen 😭 please just let me have 1 more day 😅
Quick selfie while teachers are collaborating at our second teacher training! Yep....I am back in Nepal training teachers again this summer. ❤️❤️❤️
One of the main reasons I came back to Nepal was at the urging of one of my Nepalese daughters, Namrata. We worked together last year when I volunteered with a different organization. She was the volunteer in my classroom, helping with administrative tasks and translation. She liked my style, and felt that Nepal’s teachers might benefit from my knowledge. So she talked me in to coming back to run some of my own workshops. ❤️❤️❤️
Now other than last summer, I have never trained teachers, so I was a bit hesitant. But growth comes when you push yourself out of your comfort zone, so I eventually agreed. And I am SO glad I took that leap. ❤️❤️❤️
Thus far we have completed two trainings, with at least two more scheduled before I head to Thailand on August 2. And can I just tell you how well they have gone? Like so well that Namrata has received three phone calls so far asking about our services.
Our services! Like this is becoming a thing here! ❤️❤️❤️
And the best part? It is, by far, the most fulfilling feeling, giving teachers who have NO experience, some help. In this particular training, there were three teachers under the age of 21 who had been teaching for fewer than three months. I spent years preparing, and I was still not ready when I was assigned my own classroom. And many of the teachers use old-school methods, which consists of the teacher talking and the students listening. They need help, and I have the skill set to offer some assistance. I can actually FEEL the impact I am having here. Like FINALLY someone in the world actually cares about what I have to say as a professional. I rarely feel that in the states. But I feel it here. And it is palpable.
DB LATERAL RAISE
No matter the type, cable or free weight you need to understand how the delt works
So often I see people perform this movement causing elbow, wrist and neck issues
Listed are the key points to focus on
If you still aren’t targeting the delt effectively then lighten the load, slow EVERYTHING down and implement these coaching points
1. Keep chest up
2. Lead from elbow not wrist
3. Elbow goes shoulder height no higher
4. If traps engage see point 3
5. Soft lock in the elbow not straight
6. Tilt weight forward and raise in front not side of chest
7. Stay under tension
Building shoulder strength will massively improve your posture, weight bearing stability and obviously... make you look hench 🤪

Anxious, stressed, burned out, depressed, lost about who you are, or where you are going? Are you living in fear, unable to let go of the past, of the future?
Before we dive deeper into a guided meditation, I wanted to share what meditation is, why we should do it and how we should approach it.
Meditation is there for you and it’s accessible to every single one of you. We all have the innate capability to meditate and to remove the external noise we’ve gotten so accustomed to and to find the stillness within ourselves. Meditation will unveil the illusion that you are separate from everyone, from nature, from love and life. It will bring the peace that lives within you from the depth of your self back up to the surface.
The second part will be shared later on!❤️

Another Saturday at netball. Only 2 games left in the season, as despite our best efforts my team won’t make finals. .
Played 2 games again today (against advice re; my shin splints). Only 6 quarters this time though, having 1 quarter off in both games. .
I played a mix of goaler and defender across the games. 4 quarters as goaler, 2 as defender. I’m slowly (read VERY SLOWLY) adapting to the idea that maybe I’m also a shooter and not just a defender. .
I’m still just so incredibly proud of myself for taking this opportunity. For not deciding I couldn’t before I did. For taking myself so so so far out of my own comfort zone by embracing goaling opportunities. For running 15 minute quarters when I was so sure I could never actually do that. .
So here, have a video that isn’t flattering, doesn’t show me doing much specifically. Just me in my happy place, with a team I love, at a club I adore, playing a sport I’ve taken back in my stride. I already can’t wait for next season. What am I going to do without Saturday netball? .
Keep playing Thursday night and maybe pick up another night I guess? Anyone in Warragul / Drouin got a mid week night team who needs a player? 😂

Az életmódváltás nem egy munka. Nem hétfőtől péntekig tart. Ez egy út, egy cél. Élethosszig tartó tanulás. Szeretem, gyűlölöm kapcsolat. De minden pillanata megéri. Több energiád lesz, szebb lesz a bőröd, vékonyabb lehetsz, így magabiztosabb is leszel! Tiszta haszon? Igaz? 🏆🏆🏆
Keeping fashion simple today with jeans and a white vest. My mind is truly spinning today. .
Yesterday was a busy day which left the house crazy untidy which in turn makes my anxiety rocket 🤯
Luckily today’s program is 21 day fix real time Pilates which I think is just what the Dr ordered! Trying to keep things simple today including clothes!!

8 week progress update! I have gone down a size and I am feeling more comfortable in my skin every day. I don’t usually go by scales but for those wondering I have lost 4kg in these last 8 weeks. I know there is potential to lose more as I haven’t been super strict on my carb intake having roughly 30-50g of net carbs per day, still choosing keto options but not actually tracking my carbs has really allowed them to blow out. My plan from here on out is to keep my net carbs under 20g per day and using the Keto Diet App to help me track the macronutrients in everything I eat. I find the app is also great for accountability. I have become a little lazy with my hydration too and I know that is one of the key things with losing weight especially on keto so I’m going to have to step that up as well! I have been going on the occasional walk but will be exercising more now that I have finally stepped into the gym as of last week. I’ve only had the chance to share a couple of recipes so far but I am working on more so stay tuned 😁

Something that brings me not is gardening, I've been feeling really great these last 2 days, I'm surprised! I have little to no pain... So I'm a tad suspicious but I've upped my antidepressant medication.
So I sent my afternoon, planting lettuce, broccoli, spinach & peas, I have an active pea plant but I've started a new one ( last picture )
Also pictured are my two avocado plants grown from store bought avocados 🌱
I also have a chamomile plant which needs to be repotted into a longer pot as she is a shrub that crawls along the ground, she's doing well though.
My purple and white daisies are budding and flowering, Winter is a magical time for gardens. 🌼
Gardening really does make me incredibly happy. It's so soothing, so rewarding and it is exercise too ❤
Hi angels I'm currently sitting in a restaurant eating cheesecake in a crop top and if that doesn't say a gentle fuck you to society I don't know what does 🤷♀️ don't stop doing the things you love because of the way people might look at you. They're going to look anyway, so I'm giving them a feast for the eyes💃😏😎
The only stupid fluffing thing I eat for breakfast. Protein oatmeal, plus protein. And flax. Boring, but easy and minimal mess. Just sharing Incase you need some inspiration for more bland, protein garbage to eat 🙃😘
This weekend is my high school reunion, and although I’m not attending, it has gotten me thinking about the last 30 years.🤔💭 So, from my high school graduation day 30 years ago👩🎓 to living and working in Japan (1999) to traveling with my husband (2009) to attending my students graduation ceremony from their summer language program last month, I’ve had an amazing journey so far.😊 Definitely full of highs and lows, but surrounded by my loving husband and family, kind and caring friends, and an army of awesome coworkers, these past 30 years have truly been spectacular. 💜
