Days like today really got me missing Hawaii. While it's 6 degrees in Kansas this morning, those 70 degree year-round days sound about perfect right now. We were lucky enough to be stationed there for 2 years and they will forever be some of the best years of our lives.
One of my favorite parts about living there was our ability to be outside and explore daily. For two little boys who crave outdoor play time, it was heaven. We swam, hiked, ran, and explored the mountains and coastlines every day. Our biggest question each weekend was "which beach are we going to"? or "which hike are we doing"? Life there certainly has a way of being a little bit simpler. There are certainly parts of living there that I don't miss, but today, I'm missing it something fierce
Getting pretty excited about my 2020 plans! In April I am taking 6months off, and Zoe and I am off to hike the 2,200 mile long Appalachian Trail from Gerorgia to Maine in the USA!
Hoping to find my trail legs, keep away from bears and master my wilderness skills!
