We had a week of rejuvenated deep breaths last week, escaping the city for the forest. It’s brought us back to life, full of enthusiasm even on a Monday where the week ahead looks wet and wild! ⛰
#travelgoals next time... the Rockies! 🏔

🍃🌱Sis says these look like proposal pics. I approve. 🍃🌱
Love these kind of hikes where it’s comfortable enough to wear casual shoes but long enough to have an excellent work out.
So excited about these bc it’s our first time succeeding at long exposure shots. Had to stand super still tho but it was so much fun. If you are super into waterfalls, in this area there are many waterfall tracks you can do. I saw many people camping and staying overnight to do the trails. My Bf and I only managed to go this one bc the main trail was closed due to rainfall so we only had time to see one. That just meant a longer walk but better waterfalls.

West Coast Trail Day 1:
Gordon River to Thrasher Cove. The absolute slowest 6km (3.7 miles) of any hike ever! 😅 Where sometimes there’s a trail but then the rest is just a whole lot of “wtf?!” 🤷🏼♀️ And it was only the beginning... 😂🥾🏕🇨🇦
Happy Autumnal Equinox! Autumn is a funny time of year for us; exciting in one way as we look forward to spending more time working in the woods but also tinged with melancholy for the departure of the warm, long summer days full of life, buzzing with energy. What better way to celebrate the summer past than by harvesting some of that energy in berry form and preserving it to help see us through the darker months? We spent the weekend collecting rosehips, elderberries and the last of the blackberries to make jams and syrups which are not only rich in goodness, helping us to see off the winter lurgies but that will also transport us back to those warm summer’s days every time we use them. Whatever the onset of autumn and winter means to you we hope you managed to find plenty of time for outdoor adventures and encounters with nature. Check out the recipe on our blog from last year for rosehip syrup and keep your eyes peeled for a forth coming post on elderberries soon.
