  • #TBT the girl in the picture was not as happy as she looks. This girl suffered with depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. She had been mentally abused and didn’t understand her worth. She would smile but it was all a front because her inside was filled with pain. She would make her self up but in the inside she felt ugly. She would say she was ok but in the inside she wanted to die. That was back in 2012 and I’ve shared my story many times so, today when I had my moment with God he spoke and said remind the people that the enemy want you to think that you’re not worthy of living but God comes to bring you life abundantly and he has so much more for you. So don’t give up your Greater is on the way. Allow your pain to be your purpose! I am Queen Sherese Marie Doing Purpose on Purpose💪🏽. I made it through and there is still so much more to me 🙌🏾. Remember people Jesus loves you deeply and I love you too❤️

Episode 9; 💥Good Girls Don't Take Up Space💥

We fell in love with @theswapnathomas because of a single FB post, that argued why society considers only skinny women as ‘fit’, but also why society insists that women decrease the space they take up in the world.
Women are told since childhood not to take up too much space.
Whether we’re told “Don’t be too smart”, or “You talk too much”, or “Being ‘big’ is bad. Lose weight.” or the pressure on all women to be thin and skinny, it all leads to the same message.

Women are constantly exposed to these subliminal messages that we take up too much space.
Be small. Be less. Be quiet. 📍 So how does this affect us in business, whether we’re entrepreneurs or vying for a position on the board? 📍 If we can’t take up space in the business world, how the hell do we get comfortable with being more vocal and more visible? 📍 What is the ‘imposter complex? 📍 Why are we afraid to be labelled ‘bossy bitch’? 📍Is collaboration really the answer to patriarchal competitiveness?

And, if the Universe is constantly expanding shouldn’t we be obliged to expand too? Isn’t expansion than our duty? Our birthright?

Swapna Thomas works with women coaches who want to embrace their inner rebel, do business their way and live 100% on purpose.
Swapna helps develop a firebrand mindset and goes rogue with your marketing so you can confidently own your genius, claim your voice (aka your inner rebellion) and get well paid for your gifts.
When not spouting spiritual wisdom, being a raging feminist or not dropping content gems, you can find her inhaling psychological thrillers, listening to Bollywood songs on a loop and trying to convince her extrovert husband and daughter that she is totally an acceptable form of a social recluse.
Once again, you’re going to love this podcast episode! We certainly did!
