We tested so many old wives tales to jump-start labor when I was pregnant with Louie. I’m here to tell you that I’m pretty sure every one of them are FALSE.
I had two cravings when I was pregnant: apples and oranges. It was practically all I ate, and I once ate so many oranges in one sitting that it made me sick.
I’ve heard that what you crave when you are pregnant will be your child’s favorite thing. I believe it. When we started Louie on purées, he would only eat it if it was mixed with applesauce; we’ve been practicing baby-led weaning for about five months now, and we STILL have to keep the word “orange” out of our mouths until he’s finished breakfast/lunch/dinner or he will refuse anything and everything if it is not a juicy orange colored citrus fruit. 🍊

Long time no see! This past week I took a little break from the blog to focus on school, but that means I am more ready than ever to get back into things! That includes a new series that is continuing off of my “Finding a New Style for 2020” post (which got a ton of love, thank you!). Stay tuned! 🤗💕
Any plans for the long weekend if you have one? I am so excited to take advantage of the time!
💙We have officially hit the stage where she LOVES to help. Which is a great thing. She loves to be independent and do things on her own. It can be really helpful. 💔And then there are times where we are running late to pick up the groceries that I thought I set for the perfect time. However, after a sleepless night that time wasn’t the best.
💔And she is sitting on the floor being extremely persistent on her putting on her shoes by herself.
💔She is adamant that she is walking to the car herself. Which means we need to put a jacket with her hat and mittens instead of running to the car wrapped in a blanket.
💔We get to the car and she is protesting that she buckles herself. That she takes her jacket off herself.
💔She is growing so fast. She loves her new found independence. She loves to show me that she can do it. 💙I’m proud of her. I’m proud that she wants to walk snacks over to her friends at snack time. I’m proud that she can put her shoes on. I’m proud that she can change her diaper by herself.
💙Thank you Jesus they don’t cut you off from doing grocery pick up for running 20 minutes late! 🙏
