I have chosen to have more hard and painful conversations in the last few months than I did in the previous 30 years, total. And I think it’s not a coincidence that the more I do it, the more comfortable I feel in myself— as myself.⁣⁣
⁣
Conflict avoidance is a coping strategy, and a lot of us develop it as a completely understandable response to early life. ⁣⁣
⁣
But as adults, when we chronically choose the temporary relief of avoiding the hard thing over standing up for our own needs and owning our desires, we eventually pay for that chronic self-betrayal. ⁣⁣
⁣
For me, the price was an un-nameable and pervasive sadness, physical pain, heaviness and exhaustion. ⁣⁣
⁣
Every time I speak my truth, knowing it may not be what the other person wants to hear, I’m still a little surprised to look down afterwards and realize WOW I AM STILL ALIVE. ⁣⁣Vulnerability will not kill you. The uncomfortable and temporary side effects of choosing yourself are badges of honor. ⁣
⁣
They’re evidence that you are growing; breaking free of old conditioning and patterns that don’t serve you. Breathe and do the thing and remember who you are. That’s my self-imposed job description these days.

  • When you have #lupus a #brain fog moment can hit you any time.... Unfortunately, memory issues, #fatigue insomnia and #brainfog are very common symptoms in people with #sle and #lupusnephritis
Can you do something about it? There are actually 2 things you can try to lift brain fog and improve your cognitive function:
1. Add a bit more protein. Many people don’t properly digest and absorb dietary proteins and as a result missing key nutrients that contribute to brain fog, fatigue, depression, malfunctions of the #immunesystem muscle wasting and weakness.
2. Taking high quality potent probiotic can help improve #digestion re-balance your gut flora, lift depression, improve T4 to T3 #thyroid #hormones conversion and constipation.
I’d like to let you know that everyone who would like to try out and experience the benefits can get a FREE bottle of live potent probiotic (50 billion good bacteria) and a FREE container of high quality premium protein provides 10-fold absorption. Both are truly free, no strings attached, worldwide shipping. You can get both via my website https://lupusselfhelp.com/free or just click the link in my instagram profile @outsmartlupus <<<===click When you have #lupus a #brain fog moment can hit you any time.... IT IS DONE! 💜 This weekend, my family and friends walked in honor of my cousin and all those suffering with Lupus. This is year 4 for us. Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect various parts of the body, especially the skin, joints, blood, and kidneys. #Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can change any part of the body. Lupus attacks the body because it cannot tell the difference from foreign invaders and healthy tissues. Research estimates that 1.5 million Americans have Lupus. Lupus strikes mostly women of childbearing age (15-44). Women of color are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop Lupus. .
.
Lupus causes the immune system to attack the body's own cells and tissue. Common symptoms of lupus include achy or swollen joints, fevers, extreme fatigue and skin rashes. .
.
At the present time, there is NO CURE for lupus, but if diagnosed early, medications are available that can treat lupus symptoms in most patients. For the vast majority of people with lupus, effective treatment can minimize symptoms, reduce inflammation, and maintain normal bodily function. .

But not all people around you understand your struggle with your #autoimmunedisorder and #chronicdisease And der the difference between #chronicfatigue and #fatigue that healthy people experience from every day activities. They don’t understand that it takes a tremendous amount mental power, courage and determination to make an effort and try to do more things in your life instead of surrounding to the disease and feeling like a victim. How do you explain or do you feel it would be a waste of energy? P. S.
