“There is something inexpressibly beautiful about the world when the sun begins to rise and fill the dim sky with soft rays of light and only the birds are awake to sing to you “good morning”, while everyone else is curled up in their beds, unaware of the magnificence they’re missing and everything feels so simple. It’s as if six a.m. is an epiphany that sparks at your fingertips and spreads until you are encompassed entirely by a feeling of clarity. There is something inexpressibly beautiful about being awake to behold the splendor of this world while everyone else is still asleep.” - Madisen Kuhn
For a long time I assumed that once I stopped drinking I would feel “happy." I mean without the chemically induced low I would feel great all the time right?!?!? Wrong.
I have anxiety, very low level depression, and I overthink everything. Without numbing I am with myself all.the.time. It’s not always fun people.
But I do have a few things I do to help. These are my morning oils. Pro plus for hormone support (seriously if you have hormone issues dm me about this), En-Er-Gee for thyroid support, and my “happy place” roller filled with bergamot, frankincense, and patchouli.
Oils brighten my mood. When I’m feeling low I’m so thankful that I have this self care ritual that I can come back to time and time again.
Oh, and in case no one told you, it’s perfectly ok to not be happy all the time.
Woke up feeling down when you realized its only Wednesday? Maybe you need a boost of endorphins by combining your daily run with your coffee fix.

If you can avert your eyes from the pterodactyl wingspan 👀 read on for the reasons I love yoga. .
1. It’s for everyone, no joke, it’s an equal opportunity practice. .
2. Yoga works your whole body
3. Core strength is critical to proper posture, balance and maintaining strength. .
4. Yoga improves and maintains your level of flexibility, there is nothing better for teaching you how to breath and stretch. .
5. Muscle tone and endurance, simple moves bring powerful results. .
6. No equipment, well, almost, you gotta have a mat. *I love the Lululemon yoga mat. .
Find a class or do it at home. I have been using the Beachbody app for awhile and it’s great. I’m a self motivated exerciser since birth so home workouts are what I prefer. But def find a class if you need the extra motivation. .
Still not feeling 100% today but so glad to be feeling well enough to do something and get back to my morning routine. It hit me like a brick last night ... 4 days without working out and feeling crummy does NOT help my anxiety. But a little MMA style workout this morning to start the day was just what this mama needed. So thankful I have found this to be an additional medicine for me and my anxiety. Clearer thoughts. Less fog. More patience. Calmer soul. All is better with a good sweat session. .
HOW DO YOU START YOUR DAY?
| Are you Hitting snooze on your alarm, or do you leap energetically out of bed? ⏰.......Sometimes it's hard but listen to your body if you need more rest.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Focus your energies on building a routine that gives you a calmer, more efficient, and more fulfilling morning it can take time to change the grizzly bear wake up personality and it can take trial and error to be calmer and energised!!!
Just give yourself time in the mornings, try this tomorrow,
Start with the tips in the above picture and slowly build on them over time, day after day until you create your ideal morning. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With a day ahead filled with deodorant production (aka a whole lot of running around and lifting ingredient boxes and deodorant trays 💪) we’re getting ready with a blissfully clean Luna Bliss this morning. Fresh powder + melon + jasmine = a whole lot of fresh. YAS! What scent are you wearing today? #morningroutine#lunabliss#gettingready#deodorant
How do you begin your days? 🌅I get up way earlier than the kids so I have time to: meditate, practice yoga, workout, review my plans for the day, have a cup of coffee (or 2), make a healthy breakfast for the family & start the day off right. This doesn't always happen (those nights when I'm awake from 2am on I tend to bypass my morning routine and hit the starbucks on the way to school), but 95% of the time I aim to set the tone for our day ahead by sticking to my morning routine. ⏰Because when mom is calm & happy in the morning, everyone is calm & happy in the morning. 🍳What's your morning routine? #commit30#morningroutine#startthedayoffright
Mornings are my saving grace. 🔆📿🧘
It's that little ittie bit of time that I have to myself before my munchkins wake up and the day starts full speed ahead. Believe me, I've gone back and forth between hitting snooze and jumping out of bed before the sun comes up. The snooze button has even won that battle a handful of times.
I truly believe that the start of my day, really determines my mood for the rest of the day. When I can move my body, have some time for myself and set my intentions for the day, that's when I feel more prepared for the day no matter what the circumstances.
What's your favorite way to start the morning?? I'd love for you to share below...👇👇 #morningroutine#morningfeels#morningrituals#morningmotivation
Starting my mornings off right with some gratitude & Arbonne Herbal Tea. .
A big thank you to @pthomaa for this gratitude journal.
Getting spoiled for doing my job. 😁.
What is one thing you are grateful for? ⬇️
There’s always something...
Something we could improve upon
Something we could change
Something we don’t like
But it’s usually attached to a CHOICE. My choices include pizza, beer, wings & wine. 🍕 🍺 🍷
There is no perfect body, only the body you were given. It’s your body. There’s no comparing because we are all uniquely different. There is no fast fix. You want to know what there is?? CONSISTENCY. It will lead you to the results that you desire. I can tell you this from experience! I’ve tried a lot of the fad diets and going to the gym with thinking I knew what I was doing. It didn’t work and if it did then as soon as I stopped, goodbye results. I’ve learned to be consistent with my routine with staying on a work out schedule doing work outs that are lead by qualified super trainers and staying on a nutrition plan that is suited for my body.
This consistency has made me feel more in control of my day and I’ve just been enjoying the ride! You only get one life, why not live it to its fullest??
