It has been awhile since I've done a little "About the photographer" post!! I'm Katie--mom of FOUR girls. Yes, we are crazy. Yes, we will have four teenage girls at once (pray for us). No, we are not going to try for a boy--we are done and completely happy. My girls all have boy names--how ironic ha?? Blake is 8 and going into third grade, Tatum is 6 and going into first grade, Camdyn is 3 and is about to start preschool, and Noah is almost 11 months (she will turn one year on 9/28) and will be going to part time daycare this fall.
Josh is the most amazing husband. He is everything in a parent that I am not, and we definitely compliment each other very nicely. Most of the time, I like to say that we make the best team!! Any issues that come in our marriage are from severe lack of sleep (we are struggling right now)! I have always loved photography! I like to think that my love for the art came from my great-grandma Ardis and her love for photographs. Anytime we would visit, grandma would have a pile full of photos to share with us. Her basement had bookshelves FULL of photo albums. I just loved paging through them, and hearing grandma's stories. Grandma has since passed, but her love for photos carries on within me! I've made it a priority to photograph life for my children. I've also made it a priority to PRINT those photos--I know it's so easy to get behind on doing that with everything being digital these days!! I LOVE meeting new families. I focus primarily on family and senior photography. I like to think that relationship building is such an important part of my job--if we are friends and you are comfortable with me, it makes my job SO MUCH EASIER!! I love the real life moments as much as the picture perfect poses. I often give WAY too many photos in your gallery, because I shoot every moment and keep the silly/real photos as much as I keep the perfect photos. I love my job!

This kid and his “cool tricks” and “being silly” are life this summer 🙌🏻 I am curious to see if he will actually indeed be turning into a girl on his 4th birthday next month like he keeps telling me...always keeping me on my toes 🙃 #neveradullmoment#keepbeingyoukid
This is how they played for half the afternoon. Hiding under blankets.
From under the blankets there would burst squeals of anticipation of being found, shrieks and giggles.
Zeke especially would sit there with his chubby feet sticking out, stage-whispering gleefully. 😭😭😭 At one point, Helen climbed off the bed, still completely covered in a blanket, and wandered out of the room, miraculously not bumping or tripping. 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe I'll share a video of it tomorrow if IG will let me.
These kids are nuts! I could watch them all day. Sure did get plenty of laughs with them today. 😍😄🤗 #toddlerfun#siblingsarebestfriends#simplefun#momlifeisbestlife#neveradullmoment#lovemygoobers
This picture was taken a couple days ago during our last hours together before Jessica headed home from our most recent adventure; a two week trip to Alaska. Little do you know there is a group of about 10 other strangers enjoying the view and the fruits of their labor for reaching the top of this lengthy, challenging, steep, BEAUTIFUL hike, Flat Top. Of course Jess and I had to take this picture because... well look at it!!! It took some convincing from Jess to get me up there because of all the eyes. I was worried about the classic “what these people will think blah, blah, blah” dilemma! I felt so liberated for deciding to say Fuck it & climb up. Such a small act for such an epic moment captured. Do shit that makes you uncomfortable! Do shit that pushes social norms! Do shit that makes you feel! DO SHIT period!! #neveradullmoment#flattop#merica#alaska#doshit
Thanks for another amazing, spontaneous-drunken-decision vacay! I’ll miss the craziness, laughter, bitchyness, and pillow talks. I’ll see you both next year. 😎👌🏼*flying fingers* love you both to pieces 💕 #neveradullmoment
