Good morning Pilates enthusiasts!! Following on from my previous post on balance.
Balance is in our daily lives is extremely important.
We need balance in every aspect and and every plane of movement.
There needs to be balance between your left and right sides. As well as your front (anterior) and back (posterior).
Balance like everything else requires effort, focus, practice and patience.
We dont walk perfectly one our first attempt.
We stumble, fall down, get up and keep trying till we eventually can walk a few steps.
Walking properly can take years.... We just don't focus on it enough.
Heres another two exercises that one easily practice at home or added into a mat class.
Again, you need a yoga block, theraband tied around your foot and your set to go.
The first video, hold the theraband in the opposite hand to the foot the theraband is tied around.
Keep the arms wide in a T position.
Keep enough tension on the theraband that's comfortable to keep your arm
Simply abduct and adduct your leg.
Keep it straight, including your foot.
My leg did a bit of rotation. 🙄
There will be some tension coming from the theraband.
Keep the supporting leg softly bent at the knee. Your glutes will thank you.
. . .
In the second video focus on slight extension of the hip.
Keep the movement small and dont bend the knee of the leg that is extending.
Its a small movement but very effective.
Again, keep the soft bend of knee in the supporting leg.
Remember to swop sides and hands as well.

Ein paar mal war ich schon wieder im #gym, musste aber leicht und vorsichtig trainieren. Es tut inzwischen mal ganz gut, keinen Druck zu haben, seit 2,5 Jahren hatte ich das immer bzw habe mir selber immer Druck gemacht und jetzt tut es mal gut, den Kopf frei zu haben. Einige Sachen haben sich bei mir schon geändert und ich bin gerade dabei, zu mir selber zurück zu finden 😊😌🙏
After youth tonight I was not feeling like working out! Even laid on my bed in workout cloths talking myself into it! Luke cheered me on and followed me down to make sure I finished strong! They are always watching guys!!! I'm not just accountable for me. He sees me workout every day, so when I don't want to and he sees me still do it that speaks more then my words ever will!
