🍄🙏 Teelixir is blessed to source log-grown Reishi mushroom from one of the most pristine and beautiful national parks in the world, Changbai mountain in the north east of China.

Changbai mountain is a very special and sacred place. It’s highly regarded by Taoists and herbal enthusiasts as the best Di Tao region to collect the highest quality tonics. They’ve been sourcing here for centuries. It’s considered the birthplace of tonic herbalism.

Located deep in the mountains, far from any cities or industrial areas, we had to drive off road for over two hours just to reach the farm. It’s in the middle of nowhere completely surrounded by lush forest full of birch and pine trees.

We know how rare and difficult it is to source true wild Reishi but this small farm was as close to wild as you can get! This cultivation method is known as “semi-wild” grown Reishi and is proven to be just as potent as true wildcrafted Reishi. The mushroom has very little human interaction and must fend for itself in the wild which is what gives Reishi its enormous adaptogenic powers.

The Reishi here grows on white pine logs (Reishi loves feeding on medicinal pine oil) which is an optimal food source for Ling Zhi. This wood contains the right nutrition and metabolites equivalent to produce a healthy and strong mushroom rich in the nutraceutical compounds we desire—polysaccharides and triterpenes etc.—to support human health.
