  • If you come to @workirvine often enough you know we love a little lunge to squat combo we call iron legs. Well, we’ve begun adding layers to this trusted favorite and every time we do, we jokingly come up with some kind of new metal to name the exercise after. I think @anthony_michael_fernandez was the first one to program Golden Legs into a Friday workout, and the joke has carried on ever since. 
Here are a handful of “iron legs” variations you can try out in your next cardio/conditioning routine, or as a finisher on leg days.

🔸I was amazed how much bad advice I was given when I first started working out! I still remember my buddy telling me to drink a 2 liter of soda and eat peanut butter and I would get huge 🤦🏾‍♂️
🔸Find valuable sources! Read peer review articles or articles written by knowledgeable people!

3️⃣ LOOKS > HEALTH 👎🏾
🔸Yes I first got into fitness because I wanted to look good but looking good only makes up a fraction of the true benefits of a healthy lifestyle! But when you get obsessed about looks it can lead to a very UNHEALTHY lifestyle⤵️
-Eating disorders, excessive exercise, high level of stress, depression, comparison, etc. 🔸 Instead have a main focus of being healthy and the looks will come! Remember you can look good without being healthy, but if your healthy you can almost always look good 🙌🏾

I could go on and on about all of the negatives but I don't wanna focus on juat the bad things! Fitness is beautiful but I've also seen it destructive in my own life and many others!

My motto is whatever food/lifestyle choice you make, ask yourself if it is actually giving you the positive results you want? If it’s not—you can change it. Could you be unduly influenced by information that isn’t entirely truthful or founded in unbiased research? It’s possible and highly likely because that is common in nutrition science.
