  • Thanks for the kind words, guys, it would be such a pity not to help you keep on the amazing family cruise !

Here we see it done by the book, literally (the second picture is from the owners manual)! And that didn’t happen by accident. The yard took the time to call and speak with the head engineer at Outremer to ensure they blocked our boat correctly. It’s a small detail, but important on a boat without the obvious skegs to rest them on. If the stands were put in the wrong place it could stress the hull structure far worse than any accident.

Similarly, it has been amazing to see how supportive Outremer has been. They’ve welcomed these types of questions from the yard, took the time to respond and have worked directly with the yard on the parts we need. They’ve even ordered and shipped the parts without payment! Tell me, how many companies still give that level of customer service these days? Our last boat didn’t offer any type of service like that.
.
Furthermore, Outremer manages a private Facebook page for owners and the second picture was from a recent post where owners talked about the correct way to haul out. It’s yet another way that Outremer supports its owners and ensures the longevity of their product and brand.

As the saying goes, “you find out who your true friends are when you need them the most!” Even in something as small as blocking a boat.
