Crawdad feed! Our friends' family hosts an annual softball and crawdad feed / potluck at their lovely country home in Penngrove, and we finally got to go! It was so much fun...and food. The tables were full of summer bounty - fruits, salads - breads, cheeses, and eventually pies and other desserts (my favorite was the bourbon cake, pictured). All the kids sorted the crayfish before they went in the pot, and then after they cooked, it was serve yourself - my (fisherman) husband was in his element right away, coming up with a system (involving his leatherman scissors) to extract the tender meat, making a mound on the table rather than eating one by one (I benefitted from his method, lol). #crawdadfeed#crawdads#crayfish#crayfishfeast#summerfood#outdoormeal#outdoorfeast#shellfish#meltedbutter#penngrove#bourboncake#savoringflavors

40년 전통의 음식점 섬진강에서 해산물을 와구와구 먹었다😄 여러 가지 조개, 가리비, 키조개 1개, 전복 1개, 새우 2개, 치즈 한 판이 4만원! 둘이서 먹으면 각 2만원! 해운대까지 가서 고기나 국밥 말고 조개구이가 너무 먹고 싶어 시켰다! 조개는 직접 구어주신다! 맛은 당연히 있었다! 전복이 어찌나 싱싱하던지 굽기 전 플레이팅 됐을 때 새우의 등을 타고 가려고 엄쩡 꼼지락 거렸다ㅠ 전복, 가리비, 새우, 조개 순으로 맛있었다! 딱 그 정도 먹어야 배도 적당히 부르고 해산물 많이 못 먹는 사람도 배 안 아프고 잘 먹을 수 있는 것 같다. 반찬으로는 홍합탕이 나왔는데 국물이 쉬~원한게 아주 좋았고, 다른 반찬들은 치즈 땜에 느끼할 수 있는 거를 방지해줬다! (사실 나는 치즈 보다 간장에 찍어먹는데 맛있었다ㅎㅎ) 암튼! 가끔 생각날 것 같다ㅎㅎ
I had myself grilled shellfish in the traditional haeundae market next to haeundae beach! They served shellfish, clam, shrimp, abalone and this huge thing I don't even know the name of😂 It was soft, rubbery, great for chewing and fun to eat🌀
I think I'll miss it soon!!
