  • It’s been a long weekend so I treated myself to a #selfcaresunday with a face peel & eye mask, after my five minute skincare routine. A tip about skincare products that I don’t think I’ve shared before is to buy the travel or sample size of a product before committing to the full size. I like this method as a test, to make sure my skin reacts the way I want it to with a new product. I can usually get 3-5 uses out of this smaller size & that’s plenty of time to know if I love it enough or not. 😊 // Linking my masks on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app & the “SHOP MY INSTAGRAM” tab at the link in my bio. http://liketk.it/2G297 #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKbeauty It’s been a long weekend so I treated myself to a #selfcaresunday with a face peel & eye mask, after my five minute skincare routine. • Growing up in Russia, eating meat was a luxury. So we ate mainly vegetables that we grew ourselves. That’s why my default “happy” diet has always been plant-based. 🌱
⠀
But when I came to America, meat choices were so abundant so naturally I tried to keep up… and it showed. I went from size 4 to size 10 after just 9 months on the ‘American diet’. I flew back to Russia and a few months later I was back to my balanced healthy self. 🙌🏻
⠀
For the last few weeks, @realjohnmelton and I have been heavily researching this “meat” situation and we watched 5 shocking documentaries: “What The Health”, “Forks Over Knives”, “Cowspiracy”, “Meet Your Meat”, and the newest on Netflix “The Game Changer”! 😳

They shed light on the way meat and dairy producers control the government, de-mystified the myth of “protein” (protein comes from plants, animals are just the middle man🤨), explained the pollution its causing the environment and most importantly how bad it is for our health to eat that dead tissue!
⠀
One of the movies traces the experiences of a group of people who used plant-based eating to reverse degenerative disease and expose the myths that we need meat to build muscle and cow’s milk for strong bones and teeth. I was disturbed extra. 🤨

Not to be too dramatic, but let’s look at the facts…
Did you know that:
⠀ ⚠️One serving of processed meat per day can increase the risk of developing diabetes by 51% ⠀ ⚠️ The #1 dietary source of cholesterol in the US is chicken ⠀ ⚠️ 93% of dioxin (one of the most toxic chemicals known to science) exposure comes from eating animal products
⠀ ⚠️ Animal Agriculture is the number 2 contributor to climate change – slightly more than all transportation pollution combined
⠀ ⚠️ The pharmaceutical industry in the US is selling 80% of its antibiotics to animal agriculture … And those are just some of the many disturbing facts.

Now catch this 👉🏻 A study done by noble prize winner Elizabeth Blackburn found that a vegan diet caused more than 500 genes to change in three months, turning on genes that prevent disease and turning off genes that cause cancer, heart disease and other illnesses. 🤓Keep reading in comments 👇🏻 Growing up in Russia, eating meat was a luxury. • THIS MASK THO. @bliss #mightymarshmallow 💘 As soon as you feel the texture, you just completely melt. It feels exactly like a fluffy marshmallow. Usage should be only 2-3 times a week. After I rinsed, my face felt/looked exactly what the container says it does. I felt moisturized/hydrated and my skin was radiating brightness☀️ It was a precious experience.✨💗 For some reason that’s the word I want to use. If you make the purchase, you’ll know what I’m talking about. 😁 I hope your Sunday is full of #selfcare #facemasks #tlc 💋 THIS MASK THO. @bliss #mightymarshmallow 💘 As soon as you feel the texture, you just completely melt.
