2nd day in Georgia:
I got up so early leaving Kazbegi to Juta village by taxi (30 GEL). I planned to stat at Zeta campsite which is on the hill, and that means you have to climb to the campsite for approximately 30 minutes. I left my baggage there, met up @katong31 whom I accidentally met on the flight from Bangkok, Thailand to Tbilisi, Georgia and became my trekking buddy eventually, and then we started a hike.
Chaukhi lake is only one and a half hours from the starting point. Beautiful lake with imposing Chaukhi massif back there. 🏔
This is just a glimpse of the beauty of Jodhpur, which is also known as 'The Blue Heaven'. This stunning city is just one of the highlights on our India tour... 💙 ⠀
We adore this photo by @harimaolee - thank you for sharing!
Add life to your days, not days to your life 🏝🧳
In Palawan, alongside scenes like this, you’ll find the Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of the world’s natural wonders. A whole labyrinth of subterranean water to explore...🛶 🏊🏽♂️
Day 93 - Part 2: Mount Kinabalu - Day 2 “Via Ferrata”—>Fighting the hunger and cold on the elevation of 🔺4095 meters... Have to admit, instant coffee ☕️ and PB&J’s 🥪 never tasted that good!!!😂
Mt Kinabalu holds the Guinness World Record for having the highest Via Ferrata climb in the world (🔺3776) and we are about to conquer it 😎
“You have 10 min”, announced Hillary, the Via Ferrata instructor. I took off some layers and started to strap myself into the harness, attached the rope and carabiner...All set! I’m ready to go!
We started with a steep 600 m descend, followed by 300 m of the jungle & another 300 m climb up the mountain. It was absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! 😍
We were told it could take anywhere from 4-6 h to complete the circuit. We did it in 3! 🙌
It’s 10 am and we still have about 700 m to the campsite and another 6.5 km to the foot of the mountain...our legs are a bit jello by now...
After our second breakfast, or the third one if you count the snacks at the top, fighting exhaustion we put our backpacks on and started our descend.
1:57 pm - we have bypassed almost everyone again...the Dutch family who didn’t make it in time for Via Ferrata, the POSH girl, who had her backpack carried both ways, the lady from Serbia and her daughter, another British couple and about 20 others who didn’t make it to the summit at all...
The sign at the last checkpoint greeted us with “SELAMAT KEMBALI~ WELCOME BACK ~You are successful climbers” Yes, we are, indeed! 🙌🏔🇲🇾 #malaysia#borneo#worldshighest#viaferrata#lowspeakcircuit#guinnessworldrecords#mtkinabalu#mountkinabalu#hiking#sacredmountain#proud#accomplished#femalesolotraveler#solobackpacker#115daysofadventure#globetrotter#oneworld#wanderlust#travel#summer#countingmyblessings#seekingadventure#beautifuldestinations#countrynumber57#travelbug#lifewelltraveled
Puncak Ciremai 3078 mdpl, 2002
Kami mengambil gambar dokumentasi pakai camera Maha Legendaris kodak. Camera yang ketika pengambilan gambar pun, belum tentu fotonya jadi.
2 ways to get here: by walk or by car.
sure, I chose the first option! Gergeti church is on the top of the mountain so what you have to do (if you decide not to go by car) is kind of hiking. Not a difficult hike though, you can get here within 1 to 1.5 hours. My recommendation is to start a hike in an early morning. It’s much better to avoid a summer heat and the crowd. I went up here in the afternoon and relaxed myself there for 2-3 hours and saw more people coming more and more until the church was very full by them. One place you can escape the crowd while enjoying the church view is heree, the hill behind the church (where I was in this picture)! You still can see the village from here, pretty lovely place ☺️
🔥The fires in Alaska are hitting closer to *home* with each passing day. Y’all keep us, the lands, the mushing pups, and the wildlife in your thinkin’ spaces. 🙏
The railroad is also dealing with landslides near #denalinationalpark - our work schedule has been adjusted several times this week out of safety for the employees and passengers alike. ——These are the consequences of climate change y’all. They are real and will eventually effect us all.
Madre Tierra is a strong one, but without proper respect we’ve all only got so much to give. ✨🌎
These first two photos were taken (by Jordan) at a lookout that we found. We walked on dirt trails and around cactuses to get to it because there weren’t any people around that area. After a few photos we hear a man yelling at us and see a police officer telling us to come back to the main walkway. When we get to the top he says “there are snakes down there. Come on, I’ll take you to a better spot.” After 5-10 minutes of following him, we come across an even more fantastic view. The last two pictures are a selfie with him, and the gorgeous spot he took us to. I found it so sweet that he took time out of his day to bring us somewhere even better, proving once again that Tunisians are some of the coolest people.
Timelapse from last April when I was starting the mural at European Backpackers Hostel in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. I was asked to create something 'romantic' and opted for young couple in traditional Uzbek clothing. Here I am working on the lady 💃
