Truth. From now until forever you’ll see 30 day challenges rear their ugly head into your social media feeds, workplaces, and sometimes (most unfortunately) your exercise studios. Well meaning friends will try to “motivate” themselves and others by working “hard” (who said anything about smart?) for 30 days straight in order to catapult themselves into a better summer body. .

Whether you are talking about a 30 day exercise class, yoga class, running, push up, pull up, deadlift, squat, plank, ab challenge - the one thing they’re all good for is injury, physical therapy, surgery, illness and setbacks. THERE IS NO WAY a human body can recover properly from the same exact stressors on a daily basis. And one month isn’t catapulting anyone anywhere (except often backwards).
