Peranbu – Compassion.
Life through the eyes of a single father with a disabled daughter.
This movie was critically well received and the public warmed to it too. Ram splits this film into 12 chapters with names describing the nature, complementing the mood of the scenes.
Watch the movie as it goes against societal norms and it's very non-judgemental (which is niche in its own way). Watch the movie for its acting, acting, and acting!!! The cinematography by Theni Eswar and background music by Yuvan Shankar raja just elevate it to an award-winning film.
This film definitely “requires a huge heart and patience” but believe me, you will start to look at the world in a different way!
Ram, a director I would like to sit down and have a coffee with.
Anbe Sivam – Love is God.
Beautifully summed up in 2 words.
Although this movie was a box-office flop, over the years it has become a classic. Kamal Hassan seamlessly scripts conflicts we face on a day to day basis; Human vs god, Human vs self, Human vs nature and etc…
Watch the movie for its many nuances of Kamal Hassan’s humanist view/take on life.
Watch the movie for its comedy, its dialogue, its acting, its songs (not often I say this) and the ending.
Definitely a film which has the “ability to stir your deepest emotions”…
