  • At our last @faithrxdhhi meeting we talked about daydreaming. That’s right: daydreaming.

When you spend time alone with your own thoughts, that’s a daydream. However, when you spend time alone with God, in scripture, and His plan, that’s prayer.

I’ve recently spent a lot of time daydreaming about my plans and my goals, then sitting back wondering why I wasn’t reaching them.

I’m on Day 27 of a 40-day prayer challenge and God is already opening my eyes, opening my heart, and putting my hands and feet TO WORK on His plan.

Neither are going anywhere as just thoughts, an action is required if there is to be ANY change. We need a new perspective. The belief that in emotions we are unable.

UNDERSTANDING
An emotion is natural, our lives are supposed to be with challenges, without them there would be no growth no excitement. Emotions are our way of navigating these challenges. If you feel sad there is a cause, if you feel anxious there is a cause & the emotion is the emotional consequence. When allowed through acceptance they will pass. Doesn't mean it's easy, but it means we are human, not broken.

NEW IDEA/Perception
'I accept, & adopt self compassion, experience the emotion but, I don't allow a feeling to decide my actions, I will DO what I NEED to feel better. Feelings WILL pass.'

PRACTICE
The only way to learn is to be doing what you are learning. Always learning! Without practice you will never know.

DIFFERENT OUTCOME
My wellbeing is no longer self negotiable based on how I feel.
I feel but I choose actions that ensure my present & future wellbeing😍
No waiting for anyone to do it for me🤗
