I would like to thank God and my Aunt Yvonne Boone for the opportunity to be a guest speakers at the “Women In White”
Fruit of the Spirit Brunch!
My message was simply my testimony of how God healed me from places of brokenness that lead me on a path back to meekness. To bring healing to women of faith and let them know that meekness doesn’t mean you have to be weak or someone’s doormat! Meekness for me is STRENGTH under control!! Be submissive to God first and stay in His will for your life and He will provide a way of escape!!🙌🏾 Thank you to my sister April Eliza Beth and
and cousin Tia Mcswain for coming out to show support! Love you both.❤️😘 #jeremiah 29:11 #godfirst#meeknessisstrengthundercontrol#trustgod#herestores#faithoverfear#imstrongbecauseihadtobe
// Peace Through Jesus //
'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. '
When I was posting daily on this account a while ago, I was reading the Bible daily, I was praying daily and I was growing closer with God every day, it was awesome!
As you would have noticed, I haven’t posted in a couple of months, it was meant to be a short break but it ended up being a lot longer.
During this break period, I found that I read the Bible less and that I prayed less, both things that aren’t helpful in our journey with God.
When I drifted away, I always had the sense that I was missing something, and for a while I couldn’t quite pinpoint it, but I pushed it aside and kept trudging through each day.
The fact is, I was missing God, without even realising it.
I missed the peace that He brings, I missed the Joy that comes from Him, I missed the guidance, I missed the constant knowing that God is always there helping me. I didn’t forget about Him, I just pushed Him aside, letting other things take top spot in my priorities.
Often, we forget that. We don’t realise how much we need God. We feel like we can do it all ourselves and that we don’t need help, when in fact, we really do 😂
So, I ask you all, where are you at with your relationship with God?
Are you pushing Him to the sidelines, not inviting Him into your life, or are you holding His hand, letting Him guide you every step of the way?
Wherever you’re at, don’t be disheartened. Everyone is at a different place in their journey of faith, but we can all share the same goal, to get closer with our Lord, to understand Him more and to become more like Him, Amen?
Life With Jesus or Life Without Jesus.
Which one will you choose?
“By the seventh day God had finished his work. On the seventh day he rested from all his work. God blessed the seventh day. He made it a Holy Day Because on that day he rested from his work, all the creating God had done. This is the story of how it all started, of Heaven and Earth when they were created.”
Genesis 2:2-4 MSG
God has a way off forcing us to rest. I have been going non stop for weeks now and suddenly I threw out my back. -
Which is something I thought only happens to old people 🤔😂 anyway....it has got my attention. -
Tomorrow is my rest day but I usually workout anyway. Looks like I will be resting. Sometimes I need a reminder of who exactly is in control here. -
It’s not me. So I look to God and take this opportunity to lean into Him more. To affix my eyes on Him and sit still long enough to hear what He has to say.
