Back from a long muddy walk in the sunshine and about to settle in with a film 🍂📽 I went to a horror maze Halloween festival with a friend last night so I’m in the mood for ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ or ‘IT’ 🤡🔪 Something spooky! This no plans-Saturday malarkey is awesome as it makes it feel like a Sunday ☺️ Time for cosiness and snacks! Have a lovely day whatever your plans are ✨
Happy birthday to this lovely man right next to me
I find it amazing, how single conversation with you, could change my whole perspective. All my worries, sadness, suddenly disappear and my belief grow stronger that I will find a way out,
and everything will turn out just, fine
In a world where people constantly hurt each other, thank you for teaching me to stay true to myself and not letting me be like those who hurt me
I consider myself... very lucky,
to call this generous heart as my Father
Stay young at heart!
Love ya berry much, Ayah ❤️
(PS: I know you stalk me a lot 😛)
Exactly 220 days sober today and I’ve finally reached some clarity.
Clarity is clearness or lucidity as to perception or understanding; freedom from indistinctness or ambiguity.
It’s taken me a long time to get here but this was my first time attending a wedding, first time travelling, and first time in an airport with layovers where I was sober.
Only the few people who are close to me know the process it took for me to get here and why. I’m not even close to done growing and feeling things I used to push aside but my goodness does it feel good to finally have some clarity.
I put all my broken pieces back together differently this time, however, it’s very clear that I will always be that girl in the black dress! 🖤
There’s one thing that every single wedding/event has, no matter the budget, culture, or style: a date! Start by eliminating dates that do not work, confirm that your preferred planner is on board and make sure your desired venue(s) are available. Once you’ve visited venues and have chosen the one you love, put down a deposit, notify your VIPs of the day you’ve chosen, and start planning your wedding! #settingthedate#weddingdate#eventdate#savethedate#weddingplanning#eventplanning#live#love#laugh

Haha, if only the answer to this question was straightforward.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The short answer is - not usually.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here goes on the long answer:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
England and Wales - No. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The legal part of your marriage must be performed by a registrar or properly licensed person such as a religious leader.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Along with needing a specific person to complete the legal side, you must have an approved venue and the ceremony must be completed between 8am-6pm.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Scotland - Some.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Scottish Law is slightly different from English and Welsh law.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some Humanist Celebrants are able to perform the legal side of your marriage and these weddings can be completed in the majority of venue choices if your celebrant agrees. You can also use a registrar or your preferred religious leader.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Northern Ireland - Some Humanist Celebrants⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
NI has a permit that Humanist Celebrants can apply for in order to complete the legal side of a specific ceremony. These applications come with conditions that your Humanist Celebrant will need to comply with.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hope this helps.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
