YOGA FOR BACK PAIN! Yoga is great for working on flexibility & core stability, correcting posture, & breathing—all of which are necessary for a healthy back.
If the lower back pain is more of a general achiness or discomfort, it's worth trying yoga stretches to address alignment issues.
This move stretches out the backs of the legs & lengthens the spine to relieve the lower back:
• Step forward to the top of the mat. Stand with feet shoulder width apart.
• Straighten legs out & let torso hang down.
• Tuck chin in toward the chest, relax the shoulders, & extend the crown of the head toward the floor to create a long spine.
• Hold for 1-3 minutes.
Watching the birds in my feeder has become a morning ritual that helps set the tone for balance within my day.
Start to finish, it goes like this:
1. Boil some water for a cup of bulletproof coffee
2. Sit outside with my faithful cat Sylvester
3. Breathe, journal and count my blessings while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature
This ritual can take 5 minutes, 15 minutes..... or much longer if I have the time. Most importantly is that the first thing I do every morning is make space for beauty, gratitude, and pleasure....and the results are magical💫 .

Para mi el comer intutivamente es como volver a conectarte con tu cuerpo, con tu mente y con tus emociones, es dejar fluir de una vez por todas toda la sabiduría de tu cuerpo y de la naturaleza. Es aprender a escuchar a tu cuerpo, olvidando lo que los expertos te dicen.

Sorry to interrupt your mostly foodie feed with a shot of my face 👋 I don't want this account to be faceless because I love to write and share about my personal journey to wellbeing, my recovery from past addictive behaviors, and my struggles with anxiety, so I might as well show a little bit more of me. .
I firmly believe that we should talk about our mistakes and failures just as much as we talk about our successes. Our achievements have more to do with what went wrong and how we reacted to that than to our ability to achieve goals flawlessly. My story is filled with successful University studies, strong friendships, amazing trips around the world, and many fun drunken nights out. I now have a job that I love and that allows me to practice a deep sense of analysis, to work in teams, and to learn more about the tech and business world. .
In my personal story, you can also see mental illness, failed romances, broken dreams, health challenges, and a girl that was living in fear for many years. I have learned to deal with pressure, to take responsibility for my mistakes, and to accept myself as I am. .

i recently tried out spirulina and i’m actually a fan! it makes smoothies look so green and it tastes... not bad? it has an interesting flavor- kind of like matcha in a way. it’s very earthy. ok i’m trying to get around saying it low key tastes like grass but with all the other stuff in this bowl it doesn’t taste bad i swear!
just, trust me on this?
1 c each frozen cauliflower and zucchini, 1 c frozen mango, 1 tsp spirulina, 1 scoop vanilla protein, 1 tbsp almond butter, 1 c spinach, 1 tbsp ground flax. top with raspberries, more almond butter, granola, and coconut flakes!
Living your best life. What does that look like for you personally? For me it means walking the road for me. Not always having an itinerary. It means taking time away with no plan. To escape the hustle of life, to just be. To feel the sun on my face. To journal. To listen to the wind blow. To hear the leafs on the trees dance in the breeze of the day. To hear the water say hello to the shore with every wave with every splash. To truly observe my surrounding & to live in the moment without distraction that a cell phone, computer & other devices pull us away from. To take the time to paint a blank canvas. For everyday is a fresh start. It’s giving to myself in a way that feeds & charges my soul so that when life throws swords or rocks, I can stand tall & reflect them away from me. Take what I need to learn but never allow it to consume me.This practise allows me to then be the best I can be for my children, my love, my family, my friends, my acquaintances. It allows me to have the strength to do what I love which is to help & Inspire others. To be kind. Sometimes I walk it alone to hear my thoughts & feelings. My personal guides. Other times I walk with others. Going after things that create happiness for me. I can’t walk the road that others walk or I’m not living for me. I’d be living for them. What it means for me is doing things such as surrounding myself with like minded people. People that support me, motivate me, & bring “purpose” to my life & I to theirs. By purpose I mean positive influences. Living my best life means treating my body well both internally & externally to feel good. I do this with balance, self love & forgiveness while making memories all around me.
So now that I told you what living my best life means to me.Today I ask you, what does living your best life mean to you?
If you don’t know. Please take the time to think about it. To write it down. To be aware of it & learn what it means to you. For then you can be selflessly selfish for yourself. I feel if we learn this then not only are we treating ourselves as we should. We can then be the best version of ourselves for the people in our life’s that need us.

“Next time you find yourself doing too many things at once, or you sense panic or anxiety begin to rise, move through a few rounds of alternate nostril breathing. 🔅Relax your left palm comfortably into your lap and bring your right hand just in front of your face.
🔅With your right hand, bring your pointer finger and middle finger to rest between your eyebrows, lightly using them as an anchor. The fingers we’ll be actively using are the thumb and ring finger.
🔅Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out through your nose.
🔅Close your right nostril with your right thumb. Inhale through the left nostril slowly and steadily.
🔅Close the left nostril with your ring finger so both nostrils are held closed; retain your breath at the top of the inhale for a brief pause.
🔅Open your right nostril and release the breath slowly through the right side; pause briefly at the bottom of the exhale.
Inhale through the right side slowly.
🔅Hold both nostrils closed (with ring finger and thumb).
🔅Open your left nostril and release breath slowly through the left side. Pause briefly at the bottom.
🔅Repeat 5-10 cycles, allowing your mind to follow your inhales and exhales.
Steps 5-9 represent one complete cycle of alternate nostril breathing. If you’re moving through the sequence slowly, one cycle should take you about 30-40 seconds. Move through 5-10 cycles when you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or in need of a reset button.”
There are so many amazing oils, but that can become overwhelming! I decided to start looking into one oil a month to make it easier & then I have the ability to retain more. I try and put a new oil in my Essential Rewards order each month to also make it more affordable. This past month was Tea Tree oil! I had this for awhile but didn’t really know what to do with it. Here’s a few of favorite things I found about it & tried.
🌱After going for a hike while in Canada, we came back absolutely covered with mosquito bites - and very itchy! I put tea tree oil with a carrier oil directly on the big bites - the itchiness relieves in about 7-10min. I did that 2-3 times a day & it was well worth it!
🌱We has an allergic break out in our house and my husbands back was covered in hives. I diluted Tea Tree with carrier oil and rubbed it all over his back. I then put a warm compress over it and he stayed like that for 15-20min. When he woke up the next morning they were only 10-20% of their original size & there was no more itchiness
🌱Add 2-3 drops to your laundry detergent to help fight odor
🌱Diffuse Tea Tree to help freshen your area - most commonly used for eliminating musky odors .
