My name is Katie and I have recently returned from a volunteer conservation program in Botswana. This trip was an absolutely incredible experience that I accessed through Projects Abroad, where I participated in daily activities around the wildlife reserve including anti-poaching and mammal censuses. These activities not only allowed me to see native African wildlife up close in their natural habitat but taught me what more I can do to protect these beautiful, endangered species – even from here in Australia. I look forward to hopefully returning to Botswana one day to continue helping with their conservation efforts. Many thanks to Bulimba Vet for supporting me in this project - I couldn't have got there without you!
🔊⬆️ Three big grizzly boars had some disagreements around a shared breakfast this morning. They don’t mind sitting at the same table, but they sure hate bumping elbows! Listen closely for the low growls we could hear from a couple hundred yards away. Bear watching at it finest in Yellowstone!
It’s not every day you see a Koala that’s on the ground.... seen this little fella two weeks ago and was up the same tree , and he did the same thing today and got on the ground for me this time I gave him a pat 🐨🙌🏻
I made a pot of vegetable beef curry with apple puree and okra and baby corn, it tastes surprisingly good. The sun comes down, I was sitting in my back garden having dinner, the sea in front of me, the sunset shining on me, enjoying the life is presenting you at this moment.
Can you believe that a mature lemon tree can produce more than one hundred lemons? The gardener and I picked three baskets of lemons on a lemon tree in my back garden! I made a cup of iced lemon honey, the drink is sweet and sour which perfect for hot summer.
