All this while, one thing remained constant within me, that was my confidence to do my own talk show.
My husband was not in favor earlier, but me and my brother Mujtaba somehow convinced him. My brother plays a big role in the making of #WUD.
Now the question was, how to make that happen?
I have been very lucky in ways that I had all the best people around me- My true friends. I remember sharing my idea of initiating a talk show with few of my friends, although they gave a mixed feedback, but there were these two beautiful human beings @raazfotos and Samina who helped me wholeheartedly by providing me with their clubhouse for my first few episodes. The picture that you see above is of my very first filming day.
.
I am also extremely thankful to my first makeup artist Salma for making me look my best every time when I go in front of the camera.Junaish, Rohit, Sana was in my team then Huma, Waqas, Mohsin, Marwan, Marie and Faizan.I just can't thank them enough for all their support and efforts. Any how we bravely pulled off the first episode of What's Up Doha with Zunira.
After that, so much more happened which I never imagined.I heard people making fun of my show and even criticizing my husband. Everyone learns with experience, so did I. On the other side, some people like Mr. Qaiser Malik loved the idea believed in us and sponsored my whole show including my wardrobe through Riva group.I was just an ordinary girl (still I am) doing some extra ordinary things to make a difference within a society with no background and only virtual experience of talk shows. All those negative criticisms could never shake my confidence or mindset in any way because I never allowed that.In fact, I became a stronger person.
.
Now after years when people compliment me with words like: “wow you have evolved a lot, we see you as an inspiration, love your work, we learned so much from your shows”, they mean a lot to me.These compliments feed my soul and never let my believe die. Basically my message here is that, It's very important to have an unshakeable confidence when most of those around you conspire to pull you down.No matter what, always believe in yourself🙏TKU Part 3/3 All this while, one thing remained constant within me, that was my confidence to do my own talk show.
