  • #gifted A few weeks ago, Malena at @elevatedbodycare reached out to me about trying out some of her products. Before I agreed, I did my research and discovered she and her husband started a small business ten years ago creating body care products for babies and adults. They do not test on animals, have mostly plastic free packaging and shipping methods, and use vegan ingredients! She is so knowledgeable about having a natural skin care routine and has even reached out to me about dealing with my anxiety.
The products I tried include her sunscreen, super sensitive deodorant cream, activated charcoal face mask, skin repair cream, and arnica muscle rub. I LOVED ALL OF THEM! I took a long time trying these products out (sorry, Malena) and I would buy all of them except the deodorant because I think I need a stronger formula.
For the past month, I was having trouble with my current deodorant from meowmeowtweet. It just wasn’t lasting me as long and I would have horrible body odor everywhere! When I tried the deodorant cream, it didn’t fix the problem. However, after exfoliating my armpits with activated charcoal and going back to a strict vegan diet, I am back to being body odor free for almost 12 hours. I love that the @elevatedbody care deodorant comes in a glass jar and has a mousse like texture. It has the tiniest sweet minty scent.
The sunscreen is AMAZING. SPF 30 and waterproof! It has the smallest white sheen upon application (weaker than when I wear Raw Elements), but easy to rub off after a few minutes of wear. I’ve worn it for tennis for two hours in 90 degree weather and I did not get burned! It is unscented.
The activated charcoal mask helps with my blackheads, absorb oil from my oily skin, and I glow after use! It came in a metal tin instead of a glass jar. It also has bentonite clay in it and is unscented.
The skin repair cream calms down my eczema flare ups, but doesn’t cure them. I still have to use my steroid cream for that. But I do love to use it as a lip balm, on my dry nurse’s hands, and for every other dry spot on my body! It has a mild chamomile scent. I recently just discovered this gem and currently hook into it. My hair is thin and I have always styled it with wax to give it volume but wax builds up dirt and often leads to dandruff. beachbornph is all-natural and doesn’t gunk, perfect to add volume and textures hair for that beachy waves I’m into right now!
This one made it to my monthly favorites list! Check the whole list now live on my blog. ✨
